One of the problems at the club is the influence of CEO Greg Swann. Greg Swanns role at the club must come under scrutiny. His official role is CEO but thinks he is the football operations manager at the club. Before moving to Carlton, the Collingwood board identified that Greg was a fine off field operator and moved to remove his influence with football ops decisions. This is why they appointed a football director and wanted Greg to focus on the day to day running if the club and not be so involved with the football department.

Greg has far to much pull regarding the on field decisions. I believe the current plight we are in has plenty to do with his football strategy. The CEO is there to make the right decisions and implement strategy and to drive change. So I think a heap of the situation we are in now must fall on his head.

Should be a rule. No Collingwood, Essendon* or Richmond people at Carlton.

Dilutes what we stand for and at the moment we stand for very little.

If he doesn't jump, someone needs to push him.

He has been all about ass covering for at least 3-4 years to try and get the short term success the benefactors on the board want. So he get Judd, he gets Mick, he gets Daisy. All short term things which look good on paper, but aside from Judd amount to quite little.

What these morons at the club don't realise is if you pay one guy a crapload of money, you don't have as much money to spend elsewhere. I mean we could of had say a Enright, Corey and Kelly for the money are paid Judd, something to ponder.

Needs to be a clean sweep from the President down.

We are so [REDACTED] at the moment that no one wants to touch us.

Don't want a new CEO until we have a new president. Certainly don't want any CEO that Sticks would choose.

Why waste our time with fantasy admins?

We tried our best, did everything we could, we failed. Time to reset the club. Hope it works out better under the new president.

I'm done.

You should never appoint a CEO that has come from a club flush with funds ... they don't how to make a buck ... they are used to it rolling in.

Same with club directors ... no place for sons or son in laws of billionaires. Left alone they couldn't run a milk bar.

Pagan ... Swann ... Malthouse ... only clubs that lack innovation appoint these types. The trick is to find the NEXT best thing ... just like we did when we got Barassi.

A bloke who has done nothing for a very long time. I could've smacked him right in the face on Saturday whinging that the football world always give Carlton a hard time, how they're out to get us and the criticism is unfair.

We'll Greg that's what you get when you're sh!t. You get criticised! You get scrutinised! Another soft c0(k like the players

Wasnt Greg Swann always a highly rated exec before he came to the club?
I always remember him being in the top 2 or 3 considered CEOs in football.
What happened?

Is it that he was overrated or is it possible he's been stifled by that hopeless board as well.
Probably both.

Spot on.

That would involve taking a risk, exposing their limited abilities and courage
