Caro just on 3AW parroting what most TCers have been saying for years re board/management

I hope we (supporters & members) are willing to give the guy a chance. That's the least he deserves.

We know nothing about him.
We dont know what his philosophy is or his direction.
I would have thought the first thing he would have done is laid some kind of map out with what he has in his mind for this club.
That would have been a step in the right direction.....
the longer he leaves that , the more its going to be hard to accept him .

Hes known hes president for weeks.
Id like our new president to get onto the front foot and touch base with us in a meaningful way.
Its not a cse of passing on the baton..... more of the same just a new face
Our blokes run this club like Coke salesmen. Theyre trying to maintain something not build something.
Its quite amusing to watch except that the subject is our footy club...

Give us a vision mr Mark and then show us youre sticking to it.

I said i wanted to see a statement on where he seeks to take this club because he has known he will be president for a while.. and he has a chance to not procrastinate.

id like this guy to have already come out with a vision in a message.

Mark is a strong, hard and committed business man. Hopefully, once he has control he can demonstrate this for all Carlton supporters and deliver success for us all.

From what I know he isn't captive to the Mathieson clan. He's close to both sides yet as a self made business man not beholden to either.

Remember the oligarchs are in charge and love to back puppet presidents that are controllable and behave themselves. Perhaps the magnificent Think Tank run by the YCP can offer a suggestion Mr S?

The way he speaks does not impress me at this stage. He just speaks like he is in awe of Kernahan, like a barracker just like Ratten was when he was a coach. Don t know much, hope he is not just a yes person. We need a tough impartial hombre..

Cretylus i agree .. hes a puppet. Which is why i wanna see something from him. Surely that wouldnt be much to ask a president .... must we wait again to see him make a squeak? Hes known he is president for a long time.... a coule of months at least. This reminds me of Gleesons 150 best Carlton players project. I think the club is riddled with these kinds of people You know youre gunna be president of what used to be the greatest club in the country. Youre named... come out and make a statement... give is a vision.....!!! Tell us what youre thinking of doing... were not mind readers.......

Maybe the think youthful tank didnt lodge in his acceptance speech At some point you wanna see the club come out on the front foot Is this going to be Mark attempt to fly under the radar??? This club is just very meek....... i hope when he finally comes out to talk to us he isnt going to be directing his message to the nuff nuffs... yeah i want this club to be great again.... weve had champions here like sticks its such an honour everything is going really well.. we just need wins... rome wasnt built in day ... blah blah

What's the plan? Where's the vision? Succession plans for positions like president reek of nepotism and back scratching, and have all the hallmarks of the club being removed further from the fans and more importantly, the members.

Cheers OR well if he doesnt control the club and hes president already hes not gunna control the club.... seriously OR... i dont wanna see a change if its meaningless.. i might as well have Sticks there.... He is close to both sides means he will have both telling him what to do. I bet he gets dizzy. A strong guy makes it without their blessing or with their blessing and he commands control. This guy is going to find the going tough... i bet u!!! i dont know him ... but i know that.... We need a guy who comes from an accountable background... Someone who doesnt run a family business. Family corporations do what they wanna do.. and dont wanna be told what to do we hve too any of those sort at the club.. that makes the decision makers making decisions unaccountable.. which is a major problem already I think he needs policies I think he needs to spell them out to us ASAP.. i believe he needs to garner support of the rank and file supporters.. i think he needs to extend a hand to the supporters in a meaningful way quickly I think he cant stay in a shround of secrecy... the little circle of trust wont do this club any good. "Circle of trust".. i love that Surrey...

Fair call, but probably a 2 horse race with Ryan Trainor until 2 weeks ago. Nonetheless, Mark needs to set out a clear and forward looking vision, probably can't happen pre July due to handover, however, needs to be clear from then on.

OR you might snigger at Tiger supporters just as they sniggered at Melbourne supporters before that. Thats all because they were as we are run by trippers... Wont be long till we act like Tiger supporters and Tiger supporters hit the snow.... Dont be so highbrow.... This club is getting ground into the dust...... People dont need to take it without being cynical and asking for a plan from a guy whos known months he is next president and has a Carlton youth tank group to help him... instead of having a go at people here .. try to understand this club need transparency and policies. Or is he in management mode... just keep this thing going steady but because we need to make a sacrifice Sticks cops it but we get more of the same??
