Luke Sayers is the new man hey.And he's been on the board for eight years.Shit,i hope he shows a bit more dash than he's shown so far.

You're guessing he hasn't contributed much.

He has been groomed for this role.

He will look over a period of sustained success...whatever that means to you, I guess.
For me, Finals year in, year out, Top 4, year in, Year out, and sweet 17, 18, 19 and first to 20 Flags.

Time to expedite the handover from MLG to Sayers and the appointment of two new directors
Big decisions need to be made on key personnel and soon
Let the new board make these decisions and live with them for better or worse

Agree let’s get a board also that understands corporate governance have skills and understand Modern sporting businesses instead of oligarchs who have plenty of money

Sayers already making his presence known?

Carlton to launch external review of football department
Quote:
Carlton is set to launch an external review on the club’s football department, which is expected to decide the future of coach David Teague and his assistants.

The club’s incoming president Luke Sayers has been in Sydney with the team, where he has been conducting informal interviews with several senior players and coaches.

The review of the football department, which will be implemented by Sayers and conducted by outsiders, will begin in the coming weeks.Several board members believed a review would take place at the end of the season if Carlton didn’t make the finals, but that process has been brought forward in the wake of poor results.

While Sayers, the former boss of PricewaterhouseCoopers, won’t technically take over from outgoing chairman Mark LoGiudice until the end of the season, the respected businessman has begun working behind the scenes as Carlton’s 2021 season continues to slip away.

Sayers, who now runs his own advisory firm, Sayers Group, was in Sydney for business reasons, but took the opportunity to meet with several players and staff when the Blues learned their stay in New South Wales would be extended

First point of business should be doing something about Cripps' hair.

Absolute shocker and corresponds with the worst form of his career.

Or whether the club needs Walker's hat to return.

Hopefully Luke takes complete direct control and has the external team do a thorough and in-depth analysis of everything at the club. Must not let any inside influence manage any part of the review.

He called me a few weeks back.

He's fine but a bit disconnected from it all like a lot of us.

Probably the death knell for the club.

Long overdue but this club is a basket case

Hasn’t Sayers been on the board since 2012. That is 9 years ago.

Will his performance on the board be assessed. Of course not. Not in the terms of reference.

Sick of the drama to be honest.

There has already been leaks to the media. Let’s hope we don’t lose a player like McKay through another crisis.

Jeane Pratt staying as VP? What value does she bring to the table other than Dick's money?
