It was such a bad look. Which genius decided to place him directly behind Mick?

If we HAVE to have these arrogant know it all, 'I pay good money to get whatever the hell I want to the detriment of the club' people then at least put them in the corner where there are no camera's.

It really angered me.

My thoughts here - may only seem a minor thing, but for me that's drawn a line through even considering a 2016 membership... soulless flowers http://www.footyalmanac.com.au/the-incompetence-of-carlton-part-xvii-like-shooting-tuna-in-a-teacup/

I suspect he bought the gig as an auction item at a CFC dinner or the like??

What gets me is that it was splashed all over the papers how the silly old bankrupt owed us plenty for "unpaid" sponsorships. Maybe Mummy coined up for him for those too?

Regrettably, both he and the CFC know no shame, a tragic look. Oh for the days of Bob Menzies parking the Govt limo around the Heatley stand to watch the games..

Just out of interest, what was so much better about having Pig Iron Bob Menzies parking his RR in front of the Heatley Stand?

I used to see Sir James Gobbo, Governor of Victoria no less, just stand on the terraces drinking a tinny. Now THERE was a man of the people.

Maybe Mal Fraser used to hang out on the terraces with Sir James before he became a public figure too.

Moshe, I think it's a little better to have a serving and distinguished PM looking at a Blues game than a discredited clown such as "Sir Geoffrey" in the coaches box live on National TV on a Friday night, isn't it? Yes, Bob is his RR may not be have been the ideal look for some but, back then, it wasn't going to diminish the brand of the club.

I'm no hard right conservative, either!

I don't think it was an awesome look either, but I doubt the "brand" could be diminished any more than it already is.

Sadly, that's a good point.
