I remember that game.

I remember thinking 'Geez, we really are crap but these blokes are crappier.......... it'll be a long time before they win a flag'.

Question: will this thread end up being as long as the Essendon* thread?

At this point I am voting yes.

I was there. 2005. We should've lost - without Fev and Waitey kicked 5. I think we came out of the clouds to win.

And now we can say "Geez, look at how well they did with their recruiting and how bad we have!"

Our losing streak just about started when we got the spoon finishing behind them by half a game.

Fev wasn't playing. And he hit the post to LOSE us a game a few years ago. And he was stuck on 99 against them. Blame Fev.

The football world was in awe at the remarkable recovery of James Hird from a debilitating foot injury with the assistance of sports nutritionist Shane Charters.......

...people used to turn up to the footy.

A comparison between last weeks game Vs Geelong:

2005 - roughly 46,000
2014 - roughly 37,000

There was 49,000 at the Hawks game in 2005 when we were both hopeless and at the dome. Interesting to see what they get at the MCG.

We also never had a number 1 pick up to that time. Something happened in 2002 to stop us from that.
