Chris Pavlou was a class wingman for Carlton whose career was cut short by a crippling knee injury.

So true Doc.....a truly lovely bloke....Coached the U19s; and was the President of the Past Players Association for years.

That he had a short career as a player was a tragedy.

Thanks M.O. for that lovely tribute.....I got to know Chris and Mary on a personal level when they had a furniture store in Glenhuntly Road, South Caulfield.

I had a local business nearby; and spent many a Sunday morning there talking Carlton.

AFAIK.....they now live in Frankston......good luck Chris!

Chris had a brief stunt in Launceston coaching East Launceston in the late 60's early 70's. He ran a corner newsagency across from my high school. Was a good guy to us tear aways and loved to talk footy.

This is good news. Saw Chris at the Brisbane game and got a few photos with him. Was in good spirits and had family with him.

A truer Carlton person you will never meet!

I remember being upset as a kid when Chris got injured. He was going to be a star.

I remember him playing along side Sergio Silvagni, John Nicholls & I think the late Maurie Sankey.

As mentioned earlier he did heaps for the club.

Good luck Chris
