Who goes out for Waite, assuming he's fit? Can't be Hendo on today's showing. Hammer played pretty well too I thought. Comes down to Bower or Thornton I guess. Bower probably needs game time given he only got a quarter today so maybe it's him. That's before we consider the Laidler might be ready to come back too. He's hardly set a foot wrong all year and might find himself in the Ants.

Last time we played them we got the points in conditions they were expected to have an advantage:
Raining, slow wet track, close in and tough, their homeground...well we through that theory out the window!

Next week it's indoors and a home game for the Mighty Blues.

Carlton to give the Swans another 10 goal hiding.

Where do we play Waite? The forwardline were humming against the Lions. I wouldn't change it.
Centreline? Maybe. Probably. He may have to take CHB, and last man in was Bower, who was replaced when injured by TBird.
That's not my problem.

What about Houlihan? Armfield? I reckon Tuohy keeps his spot.
I doubt Robbo will be cited let alone suspended as some suggest.
Other than a suspension I wouldn't change much. Surely Waite comes in.

IN: Waite
OUT: Bower....or TBird...I guess....maybe Robbo if he's suspended

If Robbo is suspended, and a tall is dropped for Waite to come in then Houla is in too...unless Laidler is available.

Like I said in another post: A spot in the Carlton Seniors is hot property. Carlton is hot property.

Hampson, Tuohy have earned their spot in the team, and Robbo is an institution now.
Anyone coming in for Robbo are just keeping his spot warm: he's mad as a cut snake. I love him!
Like Riccuitto said, he's the type you love in the side, they make things happen, fearless, they get under the skin of the opponents, they want to look for him and belt him, and as a result they take their focus off the main game. He's hot property.

We are the Bluebaggers.
They know we have arrived.

Danger game.

Would be nice to win 4 in a row - we haven't managed that this year yet and we couldn't manage it in 2010.

Last time we managed this it was late 2009, which itself was the first time we'd done it since 2001.

We beat North, Geelong, Power and Melbourne before our 2009 crashed out to Adelaide (last round) and then the Elimination Final.

The next two weeks will tell us a lot about where we are. Sydney and West Coast are in excellent form and will test us. Interestingly, both play slightly different styles of football so we will be able to see how our game stands up against fairly diverse opposition.

Some headaches at the selection table, that's for sure. I'd like Waite back in, and I much prefer Bower to Thornton looking forward, but T-Bird has actually played well recently and I like rewarding players who perform.

Blues by 5 goals.

Robbo has been reported
If he goes out bring in Waite if fit

How do you know he was reported :?: Nothing on AFL website

From the HUN (who are hoping)

Quote:
The only dampener for the Blues is that Robinson is likely to come under match review panel scrutiny for two high hits - one in the second term on Jack Redden and another late in the game on Simon Black.

Extremely important game this one
1) Shows our game in Sydney wasn't a fluke
2) Shows that we CAN beat finals contenders
3) The confidence continued to be gained

How the @#$%&! the Swans are right on our arses when they continue to be unspectacular in every way, continues to baffle me.

It's on the CFC Facebook page, reported for rough conduct in the last quarter.

If Waite doesn't come up, and Robbo gets the all-clear, no change.

If not:

Out: Thornton, Robinson (susp.)
In: Waite, Laidler

Gibbs back into the middle, Ellard or Simpson (for a rest) as the sub; playing taller for this game to open up an opportunity to exploit the Swans' ruck division and keep their defence busy, before completely running over the top of them with a leg-up in midfield during the third.

I don't think Thornton did a whole lot wrong today. I'd probably send Bower back first (assuming Waite comes back).

Re: Laidler

Hasn't played a bad game this year, and is in our best 18, however, I'd be reluctant to bring him straight back in. Would certianly be worth considering giving him a game in the Ants first. We've seen how hard it is to come straight in after a few weeks off with an injury.

Going on bowers body language when he came on in the last he needs more time in the red jumper.

In: Waite
Out: Bower

Like to see Bower have 3-4 really solid weeks in Bullants before coming back in.

Good consistent form needs to be the key for players getting picked into the senior side. Warnock, Houlihan, Lucas, McLean take note!
