Seems to be the consensus, but also part of the issue. Too many @#$%&! good blokes at the club.

We need cauliflower and we need them now.

Based on this article I don't think that cauliflower will be Leppitsch

Yes. However, read this and try to understand the crap he is saying.

“I get disappointed when I hear even the rumours that may not even be true of players going to whether it be a board member and saying bad mouthing the coach,” he said.

“To me, I‘d be looking at that player straight away saying ‘You’re the first one out’. If you are going to go down that path, you are untrustworthy in my opinion, I don’t care who you are.

So from this, kick out the player/s who they think is starting the rumours that may be not be true of those players starting the rumours :screwy:

Sounds reasonable....given the player/s may not have started the rumours

Not sure I would want a coach that bases his / her decisions on rumours

He does make a very good point about trust.
It seems that is broken and is very hard for a coach to get back, something has to give and it seems more casualties are on the way, players and coaches.

Only Sayer would know the truth everything else is conjecture.

Sayer doesn't strike me as accepting poor character; so any suspicious trades or delistings occur you know if the Age was full of shit or not.

Barker is was our stoppage coach and leaves during the bye.

Stoppages coach. NicNat just hit it wide of the pack to Sheed and Gaff all day long. It was clear as day and nothing done about it.

So what happens in the short to medium term re the stoppage coach position? Are we looking to replace him in the next few weeks or wait til the end of the season. Both options not great

The players will just play with more freedom and enjoy themselves :garthp:

I'm guessing Power will take on more of a role here, either replacing Barker in the stoppage role, or midfield in general.

I can't see them handing over the role to Stanton (next on the block) given his less than stellar work on our midfield transitions.

One got the impression that he was tired and lacked motivation and freshness and vibrancy you need with a young-ish group.

When you’re a player you feel that, it rubs off on you.

I'm happy if Power takes on a more "hands on" roll. Not sure how defensively minded he was though when he played!

Our stoppages/clearances have been a mess for years. We have been lucky that our inside mids like Cripps have kept us competitive. If the opposition get on top and do their homework, Barker had no counter attack. Barker leaving is good thing.

We just need to make the right appointments from here on in. No mistakes - get the best and do the proper due diligence.

Stoppage coach at Carlton is probably the easiest job ...... our guys take the word "stoppage" literally
