Your complete lack of football knowledge is truly astonishing. It is beond comprehension really.

How did this "group of unskilled players" manage to easily defeat the superpower of the past 3 seasons by using a combination of fast ball movement and exceptional disposal accuracy?

Fluke huh?

Then how did this same "group of unskilled players" back it up with a similar, perhaps slightly more impressive performance against one of the other power teams of the AFL?

Of course, that was a fluke again!!

Look - I don't know whether the major issue lies mostly with the coach, the playing group or a combination of both (most likely scenario), but to keep banging on about the list being a bunch of unskillful hacks that needs to be turned over is just plain bullshit.

Most of the playing group have shown they are phyiscally capable of anything during their time at the club. Now it's the mental, cultural and structural aspects of the team and coaching brigade that we need to get right to ensure they can perform at their peak week-in week-out.

Won't this be part of the Geelong almost sacked Bomber process.

I think I would go on a sabbatical if that [REDACTED] ever coached our club.

i've watched both footy classified and the footy show for the first time this year, purely for the reason that i wanted to see us under the pump in the media...i'm desperate for anything that will get us to rise for a match.
quite sad really.

sticks and ratts have both copped it - ratts more so.
the way the whole club is being run is is now in the public's eye.

not a bad thing really.

This place needs less drama queens and more patience.

List has a way to go in terms of depth and maturity of key players.

WOW!!!! - please name the 5 players and lets get them knighted!!!!!! Those 5 players were able to beat reigning premier and StKilda despite the incompetence of the other 17 unskilled hacks who wasted there time running out there in those games.

Maybe the alternate view is we have a reasonably competent list (albeit with space for improvement) - able to match it with the best when on-song - but clearly the coaching staff are not getting the best out of them at the moment - and at the end of the day that is precisely the role of the coaching panel - to extract the best out of what they have got - which is what they did vs StKilda and Geelong. Sure - we should get over those games and stop going back to them - but they did prove what the current list is capable of and have set the benchmark for our performances.

Hopefully we will destroy Essendon*, so then we can move to a more sane discussion re where we are at (I think most supporters are speaking a bit emotionally at the moment - and fair enough as the last 6 weeks have not been good enough. Influenced by emotion reflects a genuine passion for the club - which is a good thing - but means sometimes logic and rational thinking suffers a little).
There are a few list changes required - but I dont think 17 of last weeks side need to go:)

Without any 'sources' it's pretty obvious if we don't win 2 out of the next 4 Ratten is going to get the chop.

It obviously wasn't enough of a scoop to run with in the paper. There's nothing on the Hun website from Damo. I am not sure about the print edition but I doubt it.

Was this just filler for the segment??

I suppose he had to say something to fill in the slot. Being TFS he probably could've announced that Saturday night's game is a big match.

I don't think he writes for the Hun anymore, he's teamed up with Hutchy.

Good luck tonight Ratts.

ah so this is the big news about a coach's future they were referring too. I went to bed as I assumed that if it was about Ratts it wouldn't be something we hadn't already figured out.

Don't tell me he's been talking to Thorton again.

I don't totally agree with BlueRob either Mil, but I fail to see how his post merits the personal attack.

But I don't totally disagree with him either. Have you ever seen me play golf? No, of course not. Man you should've seen my best shot - nearly a hole in one! In fact if I could put together a highlights reel of my best 20-30 strokes I reckon I'd look like a real star. I'm not though. Just a weekend hacker. Too many dud shots intersperse the good ones.

And that's the difference between a footballer who's worth keeping and one who isn't. Sure all the guys on our list are physically capable of playing quality football, but which ones are going to be able to do it week in week out? Personally I think it's a bit early to be throwing them all out bar five - there's heaps of young uns and they take time to develop consistency. But I do agree that there's a few with some big question marks hanging over their head.
