I feared that once the great man of Carlton passed away that this washed up, insignificant old man would raise his ugly head, and he's done just that.

Quote:
"John Elliott has revealed the club paid thousands of dollars to women he claims falsely complained they were raped by Blues players".

Sticks please put a muzzle on this insignificant nobody who as Ian Coutts says "DOES NOT SPEAK ON BEHALF OF THE CARLTON FOOTBALL CLUB"

Once Dick passed away i knew that he would raise his ugly head just like how he leapt to the media straight after Richards passing.

I really dislike it when radio or press seek his opinion after major carlton events.
Makes me feel grubby, and I'm embarrassed for him to speak on behalf of the club that I love so much.
In one foul swoop he turns us in to the seedy back room of a third rate 1970's disco party where the men all wear huge gold medallions round their necks, and scary tight brown flared trousers, with too much chest hair. :yikes:
He make dinosaurs look like the new trend.

If he had concerns about it - then why did he pay up, unless he's come forward to apologise and assist with investigations then why the hell is he speaking...

JUST SHUT THE FLOWER UP - and for the love of god, will the media stop talking to this goose, he's a sad bitter old man, let him sit at the back table in syracuse drinking himself into stupor and move on

Maybe so, but Melvey's original point is valid. John Elliott should never be let near the club again.

This story will grow legs and the police will likely be contacted by one of the aggrieved women and an investigation will start. It will probably lead nowhere, but Carlton will be front page news for the best part of two weeks with all the crap it will bring.

The sad part is that parts of the club and its supporters still speak fondly of Jack and his great "legacy" and how he gave us premierships. He single handedly almost destroyed us and hasn't ever had the good graces to concede that it even MIGHT HAVE BEEN his fault.....

A few years back there was a rumour of a carlton player getting up to no good. It was back in the Elliot days. Most of the footy world knew about it. The rumour disappeared quickly and the player was axed from the senior list. Another player was hinted at being involved and he was moved on also.

At least we didnt harbour these blokes like St Kilda have. Gee i hate that club for that very reason.

Not sure why it was brought up now by Elliot.

Sure has.

FFS, ddep down I really like Jack, just like I like all Carlton supporters whether I see eye to eye with them or not, but fair dinkum, why smear the club with this sort of shit.

Loose lips sink big ships...and on the eve of Dick Pratt day.

This is sickening. What did he expect the media to do with this once it came from Mr Big Mouth?

He is one absolute @#$%&! idiot.

This is old news and Jack has said this before
it was quite common knowledge that girls were pAid to shut up and go away and Carlton wasn't the only club doing it
often rejected groupies would make false claims just to the pay off

Why is it everytime is see his face on a story I have a sinking feeling?

I'm guessing he's thinking that we've had too much positive press lately and something should be done about it. Is there anyway we can get him to start 'helping' Essendon* instead?

I don't disagree with that in the slightest. But everytime we click that link, the more glee we give to the tabloid trashbags at the herald sun.

Any thought that I had about his love for the club, has been washed away with those comments in the media.

Totally unnecessary to make those comments and absolutely unacceptable from him.

He is finished in my book and i will no longer acknowledge his past as a former President of my beloved club.
