I have to say that the 1-2 between Kreuzer and Hammer on the wing in the final quarter on Saturday night was the most exciting piece of play I have seen as a Carlton fan in probably 6 or 7 years. The ability of Hammer to just put on the afterburners and run like Chris Judd was simply awesome, and hopefully a taste of what is to come in the next 7-10 seasons.

But it got me to thinking - what has been everyone else's most exciting piece of play so far in the 2009 season?

When I saw the title of this thread that is exactly the first thing I thought of. Very exciting.

I've seen Hammer show endeavour and pace while chasing or providing an option, but this time he looked angry, confident and possessed - I've never seen a giant white man move so fast :donk:

..agreed, this time he was in space, and he knew the game was in the balance and played accordingly.. ..he didn't slow down, or go defensive but rather took the game on.. ..the way he moved and then the kick inside 50 was brilliant.. ..a bit earlier he also took a great leaping mark across half forward as well, seems he's starting to play really tall across the forward line.. ..and with him and krooz being genuinely able to play ruck/fwd with height, aggression, pace and repeat efforts they'll both really help us go a long way..

the best thing about hammer, is you can see still how much development he has in him as a footballer. he's still quite raw and doesn't look a natural like say kruzer, who grew up with the game.

hampson could be a huge for us over the next ten years if he keeps developing. he's already pretty competitive in ruck duels, just not hitting it to advandage like a seasoned pro.
