Hey budzy, you finally got yourself a recruit good enough to replace Houlihan in the HF.

I hope Russell improves in 2009.

I take it that Warnock and Kreuzer are on the ground 100% of the game. They'll get tired.

:-D

You know it wouldn't matter if we didn't land ROK. :P

I hope Russell will be a bit more attacking next year.

If we re-draft Sauce, which I hope we do, I'd have Hammer on the bench to rotate.

I can never doubt your consistency. I knew the answer if ROK didn't land on our doorstep. That's cool. You're consistent.

I expect Russell to really take 2 steps forward in 2009. I'm sure 2008 did a world of good for his confidence; Ratts belief in him. I have belief in him.

I'm not sure what you mean by re rookying Sauce and Hammer is on the bench for rotation. Why not include Hammer on the bench if we don't get Sauce?

I'd have Jacobs and Cloke in the bullants as ruck backups.

Warnock and Hampson rotating off the bench doing centre square and defensive ruck work and Krooooz up forward as a goal scoring option and forward ruck work.

I can't see Hammer in your line up. You have Hadley, Browne, Armfield and Stevens on the interchange of your team. Does he get a spot if ROK isn't recruited? If so, Warnock and Kreuzer are going to be very tired boys in red time if on the field 100%.

Anderson is the smoky! I reckon he's hot for AFL footy. He just has to get his legs right over preseason so he can run like he did in 2007.

HB: SCOTLAND BOWER WAITE

C: SIMMO GIBBS STEVO

HF: WALKS CLOKE BETTS

F: HOOPS FEV FISHER

FOLL: WARNOCK JUDD MURPH

INT: CARROTS HADLEY KROOZ WIGGO

EMERG: JR SETANTS ARMY

1. I RECKON STEVO ON THE WING COULD BE GOOD, HE IS MORE OF AN OUTSIDE PLAYER WITH EXCEPTIONAL DISPOSAL, IF HE COULD DELIVER IT INTO THE F50 A BIT MORE, FEV WOULD GET IT ON HIS CHEST (ROTATING IN THE MID)
2.BENCH CONSIST OF CARROTS WHO WILL PLAY BACK/MID, HADLEY WHO WILL GET STINTS IN THE MID, KROOZ TO PINCH HIT IN RUCK AND SWAP WITH CLOKE AND WIGGO WHO IS CAPABLE OF GOING FORWARD AND SNAGGING A FEW (HIS COURAGE AND HARDNESS IS SECOND TO NONE)
3. WAITE TO MOVE AROUND A BIT BUT HE COULD GIVE US A BIT OF RUN OUT OF DEFENCE AND HELP OUT COMING ACROSS PACKS ETC WITH HIS BALL READING ABILITY
4. GRIGG GETS A POSSIE FOR HIS GOOD YEAR BUT IS FIGHTING AGAINST BROWNE/ARMY AND JR
5. LEAVE BETTS ON HF AS HE PLAYED THAT ROLE VERY WELL, STILL RUNNING INTO THE POCKETS AS HE DID, VERY GOOD LEAD UP FOR HIS SIZE
6 FISH AND HOOPS IN THE POCKETS, GOOD MARKS WITH EXPERIENCE , CAPABLE OF KICKING A FEW

THIS OF COURSE MAY CHANGE ONCE DRAFTS HAPPEN, WE ARE IN A PRETTY GOOD POSSIE, GOOD PLAYERS STRUGGLING TO GET A GAME MEANS WE HAVE ALOT MORE DEPTH THAN THAT OF THE PAST FEW YEARS

BRING ON '09'

Bondi, we currently only have 4 ruckmen (Krooz Warnock Hammer Cloke) with Jacobs apparently delisted.

I doubt the MC would play Krooz Warnock Hammer in the seniors leaving only Cloke in the bullants. That's why I only had Warnock and Krooz in my 22.

If we re-draft Jacobs, he could continue developing with Cloke in the bullants freeing up Hammer to ease the workload in the seniors.

And yes hopefully Ando can take the next step and provide solid consistant performances like Grigg did this year.

Get KAARROOOOOOZEE, Betts, Judd, Simpson to work on forward ruck duals and throw ins at training, get Kreuze to concentrate on his forward work and make plays. Great asset if we snare an extra 2 - 3 each work from Kreuze being best in the leauge at inside 50 ruck work. And it saves 206CM energy

Gee I really like this line-up. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see it feature in 2009, bar O'Keefe, who now looks unlikely to come on board

Waite

HB Scotland Bower Grigg

C Stevens Gibbs Simpson

HF Walker Okeffe Betta

FF Kreuzer Fevola

F Warnock Murph Judd

Int Hadley Hurley Cloke Fisher

Emg Armfield Pfiffer Browne Russel Hampson

1- Waite can fill holes. Play Riewoldt, Pavlich, Franklin or any forward who gets on top of us. If not lose in defence or on a wing. Ive always wanted to see waite be on a wing running. Even go up forward.

2- Kreuzer working behind Fev up forward.

3- If not Okeefe then Fisher, Cloke, Waite, Hadley. Need two blokes running out to 80m from goal to get it in. Fisher doesnt look likely of doing this.. Andrew Walker could be a candidate.

4- 5 man forward line could work. Extra guy up the ground, Waite or Walker maybe starting on a flank. Our forward lines strong enough with Fev, Kreuzer and co. they just need the ball to get there.

Ok, this is sensitive information I'm about to give. Please keep it to yourself.

Fraser Brown is currently forming a group of financial 'Carlton people' who are willing to bankroll a payout of Rattens contract so Wiggins can be installed as Senior Coach ASAP.

Wiggins is seen to have a brilliant football brain who can foresee the future direction of how the game is evolving.

Some sort of announcement next Friday I'm told.

Here is my BEST 18 for '09.

FB: Anderson, Jamison, Thornton

HB: Bower, Waite, Grigg

C: Walker, Gibbs, Simpson

HF: Stevens, Kreuzer, Houlihan

FF: Cloke, Fev, Betts

R: Warnock, Judd, Murphy

2nd 18

FB: Bannister, O'hAilpin, Armfield

HB: Browne, Austin, Scotland

C: Russell, Bentick, Joseph

HF: Fisher, Hartlett, Carrots

FF: Wiggins, Edwards, Pfeiffer

R: Hampson, Hadley, Ziebell

Those in yellow make up the interchange for the 1st 18.

When you look @ our 2nd 18, we really are building up some good depth, which is really good to see !!!
