Nice, plenty to distribute to some of our up and coming superstars next year and the year after.

He certainly is travelling a lot at the moment.

Must have anticipated the money from the Dorks paying for his trips!

I can't help but think we might have lost a good chance to land a big fish via the PSD however.

Lets sign T-Bird and Russell up and see what we can shake. Surely there is someone still out there negotiating, ie. McGregor.

I hope if there aren't any good uncontracted players left that we don't pick up another spud like Dylan McLaren.

Pick a youngster instead

Hope we sign up Thornton.

Picks 24 & 33 are just not good enough for somebody like him in all honesty.

Russell....................well, he can walk if he wants.

I dont know why you all think keeping Thornton is a good idea. This is going to back fire hardcore! Keeping him is going to infect our whole team!

When a player doesn’t want to play for the navy blue then why keep him? We dont want people playing for Carlton who aren’t going to be in our future success in 3-5 years time.

Put yourself in Thornton’s shoes, if you wanted a trade for personal reasons and didn’t get traded, would you want to give everything you have to the club that robbed you of 3 years? Absolutely not!

Don't believe for a second that picks 24 and 33 were ever offered. Hawthorn are just trying to safe face - we will come out of this on top.

You're right, Fev wanted out last year and has been pitiful since he didn't get to Richmond.

Hawthorn only acquired pick 33 with a couple of minutes remaining anyway so I doubt this offer was ever was put on the table.

Absolutely ridiculous post. I'm sure there are plenty of players in the AFL that would prefer to be at another club, but will put in 100% where they are because they are highly paid professionals.

So what did they offer up that caused Carlton to tell them to bugger off?

Thornton's manager is a dick and got caught out today.

He sucked in Bret, but not the club.

Bret will be welcomed back. And will play decent footy too.

This will all blow over.

Use the Mill to sign up Thornton and what's left over to chuck at Russell and convince him to give it one more year.

Then have a crack at a trade in 07

Revisionist history from Belching -in any case he blinked with 1 minute to go for Spider trade and got pick Sydney offered so how was 24 and 33 on the table

Do the fans of the Dogs look at Grant that way?

We'll sign both of them up with the hope Tbird and Russell see the light that the Whorethorn and Power obviously didn't rate them that highly.

Suck it hard Pelchen.

Reading between the lines i do not think thornton will have a problem with the players, by the way fev talked in hobart and the more i think about it, Thornton was more likley pissed off big time with the 1st offer he got from us and probably took it as a major insult from our management .
