Said it back on page 1 and got waved aside... nah Harry'll be alright they said.

Do you guys even football? It was flipping obvious what would happen.

In the words of Synners: "Trust me. I know what I'm talking about."

I do wonder if we may successfully challenge though. Cerra got his eye puffed up and nothing..... (also predictable).

I thought he would get a week. Not that I think he deserves it.
We will appeal and who knows what the outcome will be.
The MRO is absolute joke with no consistency whatsoever.
Jon Ralph straight after the game showed the incident so the process to suspend him had begun.

McKay given a week. Must appeal as that is wrong

Won't be overturned unfortunately. Looked clumsier than Acres, regardless of intent or outcome

So...a fend-off is DELIBERATE/INTENTIONAL.

A deliberate fend off has caused Cerra to fall to the ground and for his eye to swell up and give him discomfort for the whole game

Last time I checked, the eye is a part of the head

The MRO tell us the head is sacrosanct

Just sayin'...that the AFL are a bunch of incompetent and corrupt see you next tuesdays

Can anyone name a previous example of a player getting suspended for a high fend off? A fend is a football action. No worse than a high tackle.
We might appeal Harry’s suspension and get it downgraded to low impact, but what he did is not a football action and you’ll always risk suspension when you do something stupid and make contact with the head.
Spare me the Michael Christian vendetta nonsense too.

There is still image on the mro thread on BF .
Post number 285. If that image is real than there is
no way possible he doesn't get off the charge. Initial
contact is with the shoulder and not the head.

Until this season what Harry did wouldn't have been considered of sufficient force to be deemed a reportable offence. The interpretation of what's reportable has changed. The head is sacrosanct so we are told. Thus, I would have presumed causing injury to the face with a fend off (regardless of whether or not there's precedence) is now a reportable offence.

Should have just been a free kick to North. This is ridiculous!

But he didn't even touch his head... he touched his shoulder and neck. McKay is taller than most. So that also puts him at a disadvantage in physical duels.

I guess this means that every time there is contact with someone's neck from now whether intentional or not then it is a reportable offence.

Let me get a list of 40-70 "reportable" offences from the weekend then. Or is it only reportable if the contact is made non-force-ably with the lower arm? If McKay touched the bloke's chin front on then so be it...but really this is beyond a farce. Way beyond a farce. This is worthy of making the AFL Tribunal the rulers of the Island of Farce with little farcical guards patrolling the island to ensure common sense never enters.

There is more forceful contact in netball. And that isn't hyperbole.

It’s 2 things;
1. So stupid by McKay
2. Frightfully soft.

The Crows are good. I watched them play Richmond a couple of weeks ago & they should have won. Cost themselves the game with shocking kicking for goal, but in the 3rd qtr when they just ran & ran as soon as they got the ball, they were on.

It'll be an extremely tough assignment for us if they play like that but I'm glad our boys have a challenge like this ahead of them. It'll be good for us.

Can't wait!

Someone may have asked this earlier. Are Kennedy and Acres certain to return?
If so, I'd go with those 2 and Walsh in.
Outs LOB, Honey and JSOS. If H loses his appeal, JSOS stays in.
If Gov ruled out, bring in either Cincotta or Plow.
Unsure on Owies availability but with a hammy, I'd err on side of caution and give him one more week.

If we have Ins

Walshy
Bam Bam
Acres

then
LOB
Fisher
Harry (sus)

SOS and TDK just have to fill Harry's role.

If Harry survives then Honey out. Honey needs to lift but with the 3 Ins Fisher is not required.

I think Sos can bring more options than Fisher or Honey for mine.

Regards Cazzesman
