They just showed some footage on Sports Tonight - more focussed on Freo than Carlton but they mentioned that the Hammer might have a charge to answer at the tribunal.

Channel 10 sports news just showed some highlights.

Kruezers goal from the 50 mtr. Stevo collect and being tackled.

You could see the lightening around the ground.

I want to congratulate both teams. After the game they stayed on the ground and danced with the AIDS children who couldn't stop smiling

The only negative I have from the story is the Channel 10 news person Brad McFlower

Benji apparently has hurt his groin pre game and is out for a few weeks.

I hadn't heard this myself until I read it here.

Crowd 3500, was entry free?
No .. it was between 15 and 30 Rand.. don't know what that translates to in world-currency terms or in terms of what they can afford for a night out

Thanks, basically divide by 5 for dollars.

that is quite a bit when you are paid sweet fa over there. that's still like charging $15 over here. currency conversion is only valid when you are using foreign currency otherwise it means diddly.

They only showed Bradley on his back but not the incident.

So not sure what the vision shows or why they didn't show it seeing as they have made the call that it looks bad.

No more meaningless wins. We need access to the best young talent in the land.

It might be hope, but I have a feeling he will finally get his body right this year and lessen the impact of Kennedy's departure

Interesting to see that references to the possible impact of Kennedy frtom WCE are as rare as rocking horse shit.

They have had a double page report about their forward line for 2008 that will feature Hansen and Lynch.
Not one word about Kennedy, even as a back up.

End of 2008....

JK walks out of West Coast and say he wants to be traded back to Carlton!

I don't want Kennedy back, but I believe they're planning to develop Brown into a defender and play Kennedy at FF and Lynch at CHF with Hansen having dodgy hamstrings.

Kennedy looked great in a recent photo, but he's 22 according to the Herald-Sun.

Cox an Eagle for life
Quote:
Meanwhile, West Coast coach John Worsfold said the Eagles had already put premiership skipper Chris Judd's absence behind them as they hailed the early form of his trade, former Carlton player Josh Kennedy.

Worsfold was delighted with Kennedy's eye-catching effort in the Eagles' first trial on Friday and is confident the 22-year-old can hold down a key position this season.

Worsfold said yesterday he had spoken to Carlton coach Brett Ratten about Kennedy and was told the Blues believed he was ready to step up and have an impact.

Was there any talk of a tribunal hearing for the coathanger put on T-Bird? (pic 10 in Wangers' link), Especially after all the talk of tribunal for Hammer.

The result from the match means nothing.
Here are some key points i see:

-Judd, Fevola, Walker, Fisher, Hadley all missing, Freo was missing Farmer

-Freo played 24 blokes meaning less interchange with everyone getting a decent run whereas Carlton had 32 blokes (6 rookies) all had game time.
Most players got at least 15-20mins. thats preety good considering we had 16 on the bench.

-Murph, Hammer, Harts, Russ in our best all positive for us and Freo had the usual suspects in Headland, Crowley, Johnson, etc. We gave all the young kids the run of the show against Freos best.

-Hammer done well against the strongest ruckman in the league

-Even Ellard our 3rd pick rookie played well.

I reckon there were alot of positives from the game, the results means crap all. Criticism can't start until Rnd 1. When the best team possible is on the track playing where their supposed too.
