Is there any info anywhere on how the scratch match went?

Was just about to ask the same. Particularly keen to hear how JSOS and Kennedy went

hope so. also hope the Maynard incident doesn’t persuade them to give Jack two weeks to make it all “look fair and consistent”. Maynard has a habit of leaving the ground and underestimating (or not) the impact his heavy body momentum will have on oppo player’s heads.

It’s pretty easy to replace Harry with JSOS, but replacing Martin will be almost impossible with someone who will give the same value and impact.

I really cannot think who is the logical replacement, maybe just go with Motlop as he’s our best performed small forward in the last few months outside last nights team.

we don’t have anyone else remotely like Jack Martin. always liked him. i was saying this season if he got a bit more of the ball he’d be an A grade weapon like Papley, Toby Greens, Charlie Cameron etc.

well last night Jack got the chocolates in any fair minded direct comparison with Papley, i’d say. papley got 50% more disposals but no goals and agreeably much less impact around the ground.

Luke Hodge made a valuable point in Martin's defence last night.

you argue you went to get Lizard around the shoulders and wrap up; but it wasn't until you were already committed that you realised he does not have shoulders, and your arm slipped up high

our lawyers would have the balls for this.

He obviously meant to strike him in the chest but accidentally got his jaw, so even if careless and unintentional it was a high hit with medium impact and I can’t see him get away with less than one week. If they give him two weeks we should definitely challenge for a reduction to one week.

And Marchbank. Lol. Was the most composed arguably in defence all night.

There are people on here I’m convinced who are genuinely happier when we lose so they can feed off negativity.

All jokes aside Martin did make contact with the lizards “shoulder”/arm first.

If Martin gets 1 - 2 then based on severity, outcome etc Maynard gets 8 -10.

The KC will be chomping at the but to argue Martin’s case.

The concussion/HIA protocols are out of the medicos hands since Port went rogue - i.e. the time spent making the assessment is irrelevant. Blakey went on to be the third-highest rated player on the ground. If that’s not low impact, nothing is.

Careless, low impact, high contact. Fine.

Hopefully the Dees will put their hand up to wear the royal blue like they did last month.

i wanted him dropped on what i saw in the first half, where he seemed a bit lost. from all reports he was much better in the second half, which i saw very little of as i was at work and actually had to do some work.

i am more than happy to stand corrected, i aint negative, just want the best team out there

We were all pretty much expecting a two week ban so no surprises there... it was always going to end up with the lawyers

Surely we’ll be able to at least get it downgraded to 1 week

The high impact grading is ridiculous.

He passed the concussion test and was not affected the rest of the night.

Medium I can understand but high is ridiculous.
