bondiblue wrote: After watching today's game, I can't believe we lost to Pies. They were really bad. I guess they have a few important players out injured. They made Effendrugs look good. Effendrugs are a really young side True they've looked good vs Saints and Swans, but then again, are they any good this year? Swans kids are tiring and also played on much tighter than first 3 weeks. What I saw vs Lions is Carlton allowed the Lions a lot of space, and didn't pay enough respect for their opponent. We should have won last night but probably don't know what it takes to get over the good teams. Sunday at the G. If it rains we should win If its dry, their spread is what may hurt us. I'm going to have to have another look at Lions game to see where we are at. I liked our 1st quarter a lot, and our last. Shows we can play when we... I don't know what it is. When we bring intensity and play a selfless game. We have to win. Have to. Effendrugs are 4% ahead of us, hence above us on the ladder. Have to win. Our mindset is one of conditional football...tell me the last time we played 4 qtrs of unconditional football People can harp on all they like about stats of improvements they saw in positions or gameplan It's all between the ears. DT admitted last year he is not a motivator...It shows |

On the plus side, we won't start favourites against Ess. |

Hopefully after that , better personal availability will make a difference in the 2nd half of the season, we just have to suck it in , the reality is we’re no where near the mark . Recruitment has been absurdity amateurish at times , pick 3 on Dow & pick 10 on O’Brien , I’ll never forgive, shameful negligence. 2017 draft should have reinforced the team, not the weakened it. |

You mean against one of the teams we lost to. One of the worst performances I have seen this team play where the coach had to break a table so they can wake up. If they play Suns at Gold Coast or Freo they will get flogged. Sorry mate we're not going anywhere with our selections and game plan. We crowd our forward line with midgets that take away space and think thay are kp, we do not tackle with intent, our clearances are atrocious as is our disposal. I will stop there for now as its mind boggling trying to understand what full time players are doing every day to improve their deficiencies or what they are been taught. Finally someone calling it as they see it and not living in la La land and is sick of us being a average team with no purpose |

Pies were terrible today and yes we did lose to them but with De Goey, Adams, Howe, Elliot (for half a game) and throw in Mayne who all played against us they would have beaten Essendon* today. |

Unless they're prepared to hit the fast forward button on Honey & promote him, I wouldn't be surprised (or too disappointed) if there was no change |
