Good. He deserves an opportunity. Personally I have significant doubts about him but good on him for forcing his way in.

Like most here, I just base his performance on the stats I see online. I have enjoyed reading your VFL reports over the past couple of years, so unlike most of us, you have actually seem him play a few times.
With that, what aspects of his game do you have doubts on?

The 'outs' don't have any of that at present.

Can't believe people talk about blooding youngsters to give them game time and then want Williamson dropped. At 22 and very little game time over the past 2 seasons due to injury, he needs to play. His only real weaknesses are a lack of telling Jones what to do during game time and having no right foot. So play him over the next 3 weeks and then over the preseason he is only to kick using his right foot. If he plays next year not being able to kick with his right foot then I will be on the "drop him" bandwagon.

In all fairness, CC1961 started a thread about making the finals, and made it clear he wanted to pick teams to win whilst it is a possibility, and never mentioned anything about blooding youngsters. Have a look.

Its not about lacking faith in Willo to make it.

But why should Williamson be the only one to try out at HB in the seniors?
Williamson has played every game since Newman got injured.
Its not like Willo has missed out on opportunity or dropped for his mistakes.

All kids make mistakes. Williamson has made plenty.
Why not let another kid have a shot to show their wares, make as many mistakes and we can get a better idea of our list and our future?

I just want to see others before the season is out, just not all of them in at the same time.
I know what Willo offers, and i know some of the areas he needs to work on too.

OBrien, for eg, was a giffted HB with an amazing left peg. See the write up on him before being drafted.
Now, compare that with Williamson's Profile. Both have weapons, but OBrien was obviously rated higher prior tp the draft and on draft day: (Top 10 vs Pick 60)
OBrien hasn't been tried at HB. I think he should be.

I ask you, is there a problem with wanting to see OBrien tried at HB? Nothing personal.
I hope that answers your question.

in: plowman, owies, tdk, cunners
out: polson, betts, Pittonet, dow

official

Polson and Dow omitted, the other two managed. Polson stiff imo. Would have played him ahead of Simpson.

Polson out is an absolute DISGRACE.

Why are we resting forwards and backs and not midfielders Surely Cripps needs a spell and why is Teague saying we need midfield help and not name any this week the way he is coaching is starting to remind me of Bolton

Never thought I'd say this, but Polson was a bit stiff to get dropped

Polson has had his two game. I didn’t think he was that bad to be honest, should be playing instead of SPS.

Dow may as well head home for preseason, or maybe these trade rumours have some truth to them, or he is underdone and 3 games in such a short space won’t suit him?

Great for Owies. Deserves his chance.

The kid shut Thomas and slowed Hill out of the games the past 2 weeks and also attacked well.
I’m gutted for him more then anything and it just shows how biased some coaches can be. This kid should have played for the rest of the year and encouraged. We have no idea how to develop players.

Lucky Plowman is back in, I was wondering who will play on Papley.

don't disagree he was a little stiff to get dropped but i don't think he shut thomas down at all
thomas managed to get 5 shots on goal and kicked 2 goals 3 as well as having 9 score involvements
he's kicked 4 goals 3 all season and averaged 3 score involvements. fair to say he had an influence on the result

Williamson started on Thomas and played him back into form.

Williamson wandered around like he was checking out the lunar surface for the first time.

Plowman didn’t do a bad job of getting Stephenson into form, but it was an outlier, Stephenson was putrid the following week, like he was the preceding 10 weeks before he played on Plowman.

SPS clearly undroppable. Would have given him the flick before Polson. Never thought I'd write that.
