Hawks just beat Collingwood by five goals 16.9.105 hawks to 11.7.73 pies

maybe our win wasn’t so amazing after all! With pop ayer’s our we can’t afford to let Saints jump us the way Hawks jumped Pies in first quarter.

or ... maybe we broke them?

we beat them so soundly around the ball and through the middle that they're now reassessing everything they thought they knew.

Just sayin' - Port and the Filth haven't won since we beat them :smoking:

I think we need S Durdin as sub given Fisher is in. No other coverage if we lose a tall

don’t like KP tall defenders as sub. play him and sib out at half time if we have to cover potential tall forwards who may or may not play.

Agree, I would have preferred to name him and play a small as sub(Fish), but if we loose Weitering, Kemp or Marchy we have no cover. Would've let Marchbank play McGoverns role

On the other hand , West Coast has had a win and 1 point loss since we beat them so we are amazing for having beaten them comfortably ;)

Well yeah. You can pretty much spin any result any way you want.

All the other games involving teams in and around the 8 only matter if we don't win.

So let's just win.

Just flowering win.

Every match this round I've just been confused about who I should be going for.

Ultimately, we win and it doesn't even matter.

I guess being outside the 8 should be a motivator in some sense

I mean we need to keep fighting

Let's see how we go in a junk yard scrap

If we really are good then we win tmrw

Bottom line with all this talk is that our fate is in our hands.

Win and we are in the 8. Lose and we are outside.

Of course, if we lose it will really be the problem of losing players through injury.

I'm sure we can rustle up some players

A bit worried about the potential lack of defensive effort around the ball with both Dow and Fisher in, I really hope they’ve adjusted their games to the system we’ve been playing the last few weeks in the seniors like Motlop seems to have.

Sub from either Ed or Binns, probably Ed again given we’re on the cusp of being undersized (strength, not height).

This is a very good point.

Neither of these players are good tacklers let alone 2 way runners.

Very harsh on Fish. Hopefully will get a rotation through the middle and give us the run and zip we will need. Go FISH!

He in only getting a game cause of the injuries no more no less …
Thankfully he will not be @ Carlton 2024 but he will there @3:20 with he’s broken tackles and he’s one sided 40 metre kicks

Very nervous about today now …

The seasons become more even by the year
IMO any of the top 11 teams can win the flag
