My guess for todays final teams

Assuming Cripps plays:

IC Cincotta Pittonet Hollands Cuningham

Sub: Marchbank or Fisher

I don’t think there’s any chance of Cripps playing. Could be wrong though

i sure hope Cerra and Walshy aren’t being rushed back in. last thing we want is re-injury (as JSOS seems to have done in the VFL).

Harry looked rusty last week. i guess better for the run but didn’t contribute so much. should players be training at a very high level before returning to the side?

Harry is so important to get up and running and in good touch before the Finals.
Can't underestimate getting a real competitive game under his belt.

Harry wasn't the target last week, but his presence allowed Curnow to play one on one.

I expect Harry to be on fire this week vs GWS.

This. I doubt Charlie would have kicked five last week if Harry wasn't playing.

Full Sunday teams to land at 5pm.
Expecting Patrick Cripps to miss for Carlton against GWS. The Blues prioritising his fitness for finals after dealing with rib damage in recent weeks @7NewsMelbourne

Out: Curnow (sub) Docherty Cripps (inj) Pittonet Marchbank

B: Newman, Weitering, Kemp
HB: Cincotta,McGovern, Saad
C: Acres, Hewett, Hollands
HF: Martin, McKay, Cottrell
F: Motlop, Curnow, Owies
Foll: De Koning, Cerra, Dow
Int: Walsh, Fisher, Fogarty, Cuningham

Very interesting dropping Pittonet. I know Voss likes one ruck (so do I) but without Jack and Young playing poorly I thought he would have gone with Two. Means Harry can Ruck which I love. I think he can be a Joe Daniher type

Missing Doc Cripps but a very very good side

I think the ruck setup will be a one week exercise to prove, definitively, that it won’t work come finals.

Pleasantly surprised that we've gone with one ruck. Nothing against Pitto but I think we are so much better balanced with an extra runner. Both TDK and Pitto are largely inneffectual when they're not in the ruck, and TDK is ready to ruck 80% of the game. Hope to see our pressure back to its manic best on Sunday.

Sanity prevails with Cripps having the extra week off.
Marchbank was the obvious one to make way for McGovern.
Glad we've retained Dow, Fish, DC.

Strongest lineup in a while.

Anyone know if Kennedy is still injured or was he available for selection?

If he's good to go and didn't even make the extended squad with Cripps, Doc, and possibly JSOS still to come back it doesn't bode well for him.

If we add Cripps & Docherty for Cuningham and maybe Hollands (unlucky) that is a side that can beat anyone

Trained fully today so I assume just not selected

I dunno what the team should be or not be this week. BUT in Voss and co. I trust :)

I will say this though - I think its very important we finish 5th and lock in a home final against whoever (I don't care who it is - because I think we can beat anybody :fight: )

Yep, absolutely!

Cripps' ribs aside - could you imagine if we played him this week and he did a hammy or a knee and missed the finals after waiting so long to play his first one? It would break everyone's heart I reckon.

Looking forward to him hitting the first final at full tilt.

Yep, and it also doubles to give Pitto a rest to help fix whatever the problem is with his leg.

The club will save about $2,000 in strapping tape this week alone!
