out: Harry (concussion), Martin (will get a week, but should get another for not hitting him harder), Marchbank (not up to it), dumb footy, blind panic, maybe Pitto, maybe Acres

in: Kennedy (forward), Motlop to start, Hollands or Dow if Acres doesnt come up, brains, better teamwork, confidence, maybe sos for Pitto

we bomb it into the forward line and poo ourselves in the backline and we are cooked, the sooky dees are too experienced. but they have more to lose than we do, we did what we needed to do and win a final tonight, the pressure is well off now

we bring the same game that beat them last time and we will advance. tonight, though, showed there are scars from last year, and internal pressure

if we go down, and we go down fighting, i'll be proud

if we win, i'll be legless

I haven't watched the replay, but at the ground, I thought Marchbank was very good. Works his arse off.
McGovern forward against Dees.

Jordon Lewis was full of praise for Marchbank after the match.

How do people even consider dropping Pittonet when we are up against Gawn?

i really only got to watch the first half, and he seemed a step behind. if he improved after that, and played well, then he deserves to stay in

centre square aside, gawn is better around the ground, where sos could match him, thats all my thinking

Pitto's last quarter won us the game . He was immense . His bullocking work in close is so underrated .

Gawn's advantages over Pittonet

6 cm taller; jumps (a little); runs; takes marks; kicks goals.

So if fit, why not have JSOS who apart for an even greater height disadvantage has similar traits
and also brings guts; determination; tackling.

JSOS apparently played in a scratch match yesterday as it was mentioned that all our Emergencies were pulled out of it. No other for him to get match fit so he plays if his body is ready.

we won't know til about tues/weds who we have.

you'd assume martin gets a week. he's the most irreplaceable forward not wearing a #30 jersey. bummer
harry gone - he does so much around the ground, but he has also cost us so many games with worse than casboult kicking for goals. he sucks the life out of the room and hands over momentum constantly.

acres sore (but only in the 4th, i'm guessing his needles wore off), cripps won't miss but twice he stayed down clutching his ribs last night. he'll be carrying that for the rest of finals.

jsos will have to come in if his knee is better, even if it's as full time second forward. motlop into the run on team. and maybe boyd into the side and like BV said, move gov forward.

Gov playing without a contract was so much better than the version with a contract. it was almost predictable. wish we signed him when the season was over.

Any ideas on if this will be the Friday or the Sat game?

I suspect Friday as Port/Lions will get a 7 day break.

In the Fox post-match summary they said Friday night, but I haven't seen it anywhere officially.

Yep OK. But that means whoever plays Pies will get a 6 day break, given Pies will be on Fri.

My brain hurts...

Kennedy for Martin
Hollands for Marchbank
Jack for McKay

Doc to defence. Boyd tempting

We need more run. Kennedy can play that midsized forward and is also tough in there

Another big challenge for our best performers of the year. Our legal team.
If they can argue contact was low (came off the shoulder, no concussion etc), the matrix spits out a fine.
