SOS and McKay blew any chance we had but the bigger picture here is we have a vanilla game plan that isn't going to take us to the holy land let alone finals. There's nothing unique and special about the way we play.

As long as we have Fisher, Honey and O.Brien in a Carlton guernsey get used to this happening.

Last year we were contested bulls, dominating from stoppages. This we rank 17th for clearances. Work rate has dropped right off. Don't want it badly enough. Played one good game for the year, round 2 against Geelong.

I’m beyond perplexed. The Kayo commentary (ugh, that commentary) pointed out how everyone at St Kilda knows their role and responsibilities, and they have a very clear game plan which they adhere to rigorously. There’s obviously a backhander for Voss in that statement. But surely there’s more to it? How do you account for our crucial skill errors and brain fades at critical junctures?

Because we’re not.good.enough.

Not so much the players it is the game plan. The aints prove that.

Today we moved the ball well up to the centre / half forward lines. Then bomb it long in the hope Charlie or Harry can get on the end of it. If it is one on one, good idea. If it is flooded bad idea.

Why not have a plan B where we chip it around, the forwards move around, untjl an opening is found. When was the last time we did that as a deliberate plan? All our forwards are mobile up to big H.

We are shit to watch too.

Last year we were enjoyable to watch and this year I think we've had one decent quarter.

Questions need to be asked of Clarke and Hansen

I think Hanson is being bullied at work and that's why he's coaching so badly. cauliflower is so skinny vossy must be stealing his lunch every day.

I realise the Saints have injuries as well, however we badly missed Saad and Docherty today. Cincotta looked like he belongs at AFL level.

I don't think it would matter who was coaching this team. The playing list isn't down to Voss (yet). Carlton are coach killers. Ross must be thanking his lucky stars that he didn't end up coaching us. I really believe our ongoing lack of success is in large part down to our recruiters. Too many who can't kick, too many who are injury prone (many on large, long term contracts), too many who are built like scrawny 14 year olds, too many who are too slow, too many who are soft as butter when the pressure is on. Look at Hawthorn in their recent glory days; chock full of players who were hard as nails and good users of the ball. I despair of this club.

Seems as though we caught the comp off guard last year with an old game plan. Now everyone has gone back over the tape and figured us out.
We look completely lost on
(1) kick in strategy
(2) forward entries
(3) small / half forwards

How can this be with the players we have. it’s not a couple of players fault as all teams carry players
It’s got to be coaching or we have the thickest players in the comp.
I genuinely worry we will have another coach next year.

I think the late, great Shane Warne allegedly said it best..............

Can't bat, can't bowl!!!!

Damn we play some rubbish football.

Our bottom 6 were just so poor today. If Dow doesn't get a game next week he should asked to be put in the mid season draft.

He's a question for you all...........................Over his career, will Harry win or lose us more games?

Skills and Decision making. Back to the drawing board.

Regards Cazzesman

We had the top 6 highest ranked players according to the AFL app and still managed to lose convincingly. No one loses as well as Carlton.

Last year we were the most exciting side in the competition to watch. What has happened? Seen it once this year.

Just got home.

Firstly, must acknowledge that we have some very good players that are missing and that hurts. I have said for a while our best side can beat anyone but we aren't close to getting that on the park

Concerns for me

1. What happened to the attacking football we played last year. It was exciting and I felt we could win from anywhere
2. We rely on way too few and have too many passengers EVERY week. Changes to that bottom 1-20 on our list need to be made.
3. We have too many dumb footballers with poor skills. Way too many
4. Why do we bomb it into our fwd 50 all the time. It's like watching 80s football and so predictable for the opposition. They just push numbers back on McKay and Curnow

Honestly I don’t know! I guess I just want some consistency for the team. I stupidly thought we were on the right track last year.
