Truthfully I do not think we would lose anything by dropping Setters (and I have been on his side for a while) Cunningham (though his replacement needs leg speed - Cunningham's speed early was helpful) Plowman, SPS, or Newnes
I feel the same way.
I've hoped and believed Setterfield would step up from last year when he had a couple of games 20+ possessions.
Given he was coming off an ACL he still did alright last year.
Unfortunately, Setters has gone backwards imo. Yes he tackles (laid 6 yesterday) and has got good closing speed to tackle, but he's not really influencing the game at all.
3 kicks and 5 handballs playing high forward/mid s just not being in the game enough. 87 Metres gained isn't much ground. Not sure what his role is.
Dow and Fish are my preference ahead of Setters and Newnes.
SPS is in lala land. He's good when he's good, but he really isn't imposing himself on the game, and I feel he's too lose t HB.
I need to find out how players went in the scratch match v Cats yesterday before I foam an opinion on what to do about SPS. I'm really keen to hear how Honey and Philp went yesterday.
I thought Plowman had some good moments running the ball out, albeit too few for my liking, but was too loose at times for me, also made some blunders, but until there's someone better he's still important. Driving the ball from the backline, he gained 89 metres which is better than his negative 26 metres from last week, but I still want more attacking from him.
