3AW were saying the club denied any injection to Gibbs but rather the kid just sucked it up and went back on without any pain killer.

I also heard this on the radio on the drive home, it's interesting that Sheehan used the line was reported as having had an injection. Is he too lazy to go to the club for a confirmation or denial. It's to easy to throw in the "was reported as" to avoid doing his job properly. It allows him to retract if the club reacts, but by then the damage is done and it doesn't make Carlton look good.

Im not to sure about what to do with injuries so im just going to ask what is wrong with players getting pain-killing injections so young? how does it benifit them or not benifit them?

To those in the know - who makes the decision about a pian killing injection - doctor obviously, but in conslutation with the coach or someone else?

on Walker - I thought it was a four week injury. He certainly wasn't 100%.
My recollection was that the player had to say i'm ready and then there was a fitness test. has that changed?

On Andy Walkz,he wanted to play, had a fitness test, and of course played.
9 tackles(career high?),on baller and 11 touches in the first qtr.then used down back in the 2ND qrt for some obscure reason, then taken off in the same qtr.and spent most of the 3rd on the pine.
He was ready, and there would be no excuses from him.

thanks for that DOA.

look forward to "the ghost' being fully fighting fit, and breaking the lines as usual.

Amen to this sort of nickname.

I always just go with "The Phantom" but "Ghost" works for me too - almost. That just brings bad images of Jimmy Jess though. But it is much better than 1AW as far as I am concerned.
