I don't know who else does this but I can't help trying to discern which way the AFLPA CPA voting breaks down by coach. I don't think i've ever seen one where you can wrk out the exact voting by Coach A and Coach B. let alone figure which coach is Coach A and which coach is Coach B — but it's fun trying to figure it out sometimes.
2026 R16 — Carlton v West Coast, Marvel Stadium9 Patrick Cripps (CARL)
8 Sam Walsh (CARL)
7 Ben Ainsworth (CARL)
4 George Hewett (CARL)
1 Lachie Cowan (CARL)
1 Harley Reid (WCE)
This one is a pretty good one for AFLCA Sudoku — reducing to just two permutations, but anybody's guess as to which coach is A and which is B. Can someone use educated guesswork from the pressers to work it out? I'm guessing Coach D == 'Mini' McWalter, Reid is of course an elite talent and his clearance goal was text-book, but his numbers were surpassed by many (18 other by AF points! 5 of our mids + Billy had more Disposal than Harley), including defenders like Wilson (gun-potential — *Unlocked*), Cowan and Haynes. But maybe Josh was feeling charitable? It often surprises me how similarly opposing coaches see these votes, quite objective and not too much overt favouritism.

How to play AFLCA Sudoku: A process of elimination. In this game, with Crippa on 9 votes and Walshie on 8 votes, the 8 votes has to be 5+3, not 4+4, because one of the 4 votes had to have gone to Crippa. The coach who voted 5 for Crippa had to have voted 4 for Ainsworth and 3 for Walsh. Etc etc.
