I have said it before

Change has to happen at the top.
Priestley lives in Sydney. Enough said
We rely on 4 poker machine venues to gain revenue
6 clubs have moved on or had nothing to do with poker machines
3 clubs Saints, Bombers and Richmond have one venue
2 of those clubs are like us in regards to the last 15 years unsuccessful
An AFL club should have nothing to do with poker machines because times change
That’s the key word
Times change whether you agree or disagree with poker machines
But AFL clubs should be seen as role models to the community
What makes it worse is we have a game to promote the impact of domestic violence against women and how to reduce it.
Yet problem gambling is one of the main causes
If any organisation allows this to happen then they will most likely make poor decisions in regards to to footy appointments
They simply don’t get it
It being how to be successful in 2026 and beyond
Until there is correct change at board level we won’t contend on field
True that we generate approx $20m in pokie revenues, however the argument isn’t complete without considering the AFL and clubs benefit from betting agency sponsorship $ to the tune of $50 to $60m.
While I don’t support this, I dont think it translates into we dint know how to run a football club.
Well said
Time will change the sratus quo.
Let’s focus on footy ahead of us.
I feel changes in last 6 months are pointing us in right direction.
It’s only round 1. We have a season to gel, grow and improve. If we can be 6-6 half way through this season, I expect us to see huge improvement….this year, and again next year. Draft picks, salary cap space and 20 under 23s listed says so.
