For fun we've decided to try and collate out of our 13000 or so images, pics of the best facial hair through the eras. We've started putting it together and have great Coulthard, Jezza, Flynn, Collins and Fisher shots with their beards and moustaches.

But there has to be more. Peter Jones - looking through his gallery now. Rhino - we dont have a good side-on sideburns shot. Brad Shine?

If you know of any others through the 60's and 70's that kept the mo, please let us know in this thread of via PM. We might be able to make a slide show out of it on site or something like that.

ps Anyone with knowledge of how we actually describe the different beards would be handy too.

Mick Grace had the best Mo' going IMO...closely followed by Val Perovic whom I suspect started growing his when in Primary School...Phil Maylin's ranga handlebar was also good value. Swan McKay had some sensational 'mutton chops' in the 70's...Harmes had a great beard going for a while in the 80's - but my top vote getter in the facial hair stakes is 'Sellars' Maclure who's 1976 blonde mustache had something about it...this mugshot certainly looks like it was taken in Pentridge.

Thanks Doc and darknavy; much appreciated. We've added Madden's attempt, Mick Grace, Phil Maylin's tache with add-ons and Southcombe's mutton chops.

We're diverting attention now to the 1920s - 1950's to try to flesh out the history.

Looks like you owe him a 'b' before you'll be getting his telly.
