It's a worry.

Alternatively, a player who has transitioned through all the recent eras of the game and has developed a unique understanding of midfield play...

Agreed. Cant beat that sort of experience in the coaches box. My above comments were just trying to add to intrigue of the conspiracy theory someone tried to get started on TC once. That story was great and i didnt want it to end.

Harvey will have a good future at Carlton.

But coaching will be a problematic area in 2010.

I have to say I haven't been particularly enthralled with Harvey's fronting of the media. From continuing to comment on St Kilda when he is an employee of the Carlton Football Club to failing to deflect Maguire talk properly, he doesn't exactly portray a particularly smooth operator. When has Silvagni been asked or been quoted as commenting on Carlton since he became a coach at St Kilda?

I hope Harvey's coaching is better than this.

I'd be surprised and disappointed if Harvey wasn't given the ok to mention MM.

Not surprised at all we're entertaining the thought trialling MM either :garthp:

Harvey's just a scapegoat - he wasn't even on that grassy knoll.

Harvey's retirement was recent while Silvagni retired years ago.
He would constantly get asked only because St Kilda were doing so well this year and were right up there with a chance to win a flag, something that eluded him after all his years there.

Besides, i dont think he was 'continuing' to comment on St Kilda. What maybe a few times in the media the whole year? And i dont see whats wrong with that anyway, doesnt mean he's going to put in any less effort to his job at Carlton and has no reference to his coaching abilities.
