I was responding to your question about whether he could play next year. The article indicates no.

The article seemed to suggest he sit out 2010 and have a reassessment at the end of 2010 to see if he can play on.

He needs to do the right thing by the club.

If he was a horse, we'd be taking the curtain down to the track.....

If the bloke's retiring, I fail to see the point in taking potshots at him on the way out. Just let him go with our best wishes.

I htink he's a goner.
I also think if he retires as a result of an injury, his payout should be by the workers' comp insurance company and not the club. I said it before elsewhere. Or maybe here.
There must be a precedent for this.

I agree.

I hope for the sake of the Club he does pull the pin.

Thanks for the efforts through some really crap times, Nick, and all the best for your future.

I agree.

All the best Stevo.
Before injuring your neck late in the 2006 season (then re-injuring Rd 1 2007) you were an elite midfielder. Thanks for your service during some tough times.

All the best Nick Stevens.

Really gave our team a new lease on life in 2004 and gave our side some hope. A very good footballer and exquisitite user of the ball at his best.

Good luck in your future endeavours.

Tried his guts out for us and stuck with us even though I'm sure he would have liked to have gone elsewhere.

Thanks for all your efforts, Stevo.

Nice photos of the wedding I really wish Nick all the best. He was a shining light for us in some very dark days.

Speaking of dark - I bet Whitnall's feet don't get much sunlight now a days - cripes!!! Check out the photo of him and Scotty together...

+1

Can't say I was ever his biggest fan, but this is a crap way for his career to end. Beautiful start to his new life, though, with his wedding day today.

Yep well done Stevens. Nice career and congrats on the wedding day.

I turned on you a bit years back until my uncle told me about your neck which was a season before it first came out. I feel like a bit of a scumbag now for doing so. Obviously it played a part in hindering your preperation.

All the best.

We needed some light during the dark days - and Nick Stevens was one of the few lights we had.

Best if he retires and makes sure that his health and well being needs are properly attended to.

Thanks Nick and all the best for your future.

Best of luck Nick, nothing - not a premiership, not milestones, nothing - is worth putting the next 40 years of your life in jeopardy for.

I see Murphy's girl wore a dress with a tight fitting bodice...

I wonder if he's brother turned up to the wedding or if he had something else on?

Nah, jokes aside. Well done to nick and best wishes for him and his new lovely wife.
