Sticks is livid that Fev:

a) wasted good beer, and
b) didn't drink with him

If anyone is big enough to intimidate Fevola it's Kernahan. Wayne Johnston once said 'Whenever we want a good stir we get Rhys to wind up the Kernahans.' He was talking about a time when Sticks threw a chair at Rhys he was so fired up.

Fevola could be sporting a couple of black eyes within the next 48 hours.

I just don't wanna see this shit anymore regarding Fev.

I hardly think this is the time for trading him anyway, on the back of what's happened. I've been a Fev fan ever since he burst onto the scene kicking 12 in the millenium match. Finally he's seen what a flower he looks like when he gets on the turps, good to hear what Ratts is saying that the primary responsibility is that of the team and football performance. I hope Fev does some AA, even i he doesn't drink much as he said he does, whenever he does he makes a fool of himself.

I know everyone is bagging out TFS but I think it may be a blessing in disguise. Now he can be certain what a idiot he looks like when he has too many drinks, and endure the embarassment that will lead to him not wanting to get himself in that situation ever again.

a). I don't think the best thing for Fev is to be sacked.
b). I don't think it's best for the team if he gets sacked.

Sick of talking about it, sick of hearing about it. Banning Fev from TFS for a year would be a wise idea too...

Reality is.... who are we going to trade him to anyway? Even if we did want to trade him?

First, he's under contract, so he has some sort of say as to where he goes. So my guess is that this would rule out interstate.

Second, there are teams with power forwards who he wouldn't suit. This rules out St Kilda and Hawthorn

Third, we're not going to trade to anyone we think could win a flag next year or the year after with Fev at full forward. That rules out Geelong, Footscray, Essendon*, and Collingwood.

Fourth, clubs that are in a rebuilding phase aren't going to want him. That rules out Melbourne, and North Melbourne.

So I've ruled out Adelaide, Brisbane, Collingwood, Essendon*, Fremantle, Geelong, Hawthorn, Melbourne, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, St Kilda, Sydney, West Coast, and Footscray.

So that leaves Richmond in the box seat

I just don't think there is a practical trade option for us or for him.

I think a four week spell in the Bullants at the start of 2010 might be a good option though.

I wouldn't rule out interstate. Not required is not required.

This is the thing I am hoping for. Putting aside the numerous chances he has had, I think the fallout and the vision of his behaviour may really hit home and hurt him inside. Unless he is completely devoid of any self-respect and simply doesn't care then that vision will have humiliated him deeply and I would think he feels like sh!t.

I thought there was a lot of overreaction to this but now it seems the club are fuming so now I feel uncertain about his future. I still believe he should stay and I will be distraught if the big fella leaves but I have obviously not read the landscape well and this has pissed off more people than I thought. Such a shame

maybe Sticks will teach him the words to 'Stand by your man' and show him how to really finish a song!

Its hardly Fev's intention to have TC go into a frenzy over this

Waterboarding? Bamboo slivers under the finger nails or a good old-fashioned beating with a telephone book? I used to know someone who for a small fee did some kneecapping in Faraday St, however I'm not sure that's appropriate for a Coleman Medalist. Maybe 'Stand by your Man' on auto-repeat over and over and over again will do the trick.

Blues to stand by Fev

CARLTON are set to stand by Brendan Fevola, but they could still impose further sanctions on the disgraced full-forward for his drunken behaviour at the Brownlow Medal.

Barring any injuries he'd be a good chance to crack 100 goals in 2010 now.
