But chucky, he's a full forward, they don't grow on trees ya know.

Of course he's allowed to sexually harrass young [edit] girls - in fact, that's what they're there for.

I haven't heard from any creditable sources that it was a [edit] (not that it makes it any better)

There is so much de ja vu about this thread it's not funny.

We should Sticky this under Fev's Antics and bring out at the end of each season when he invariably does something moronic related to alcohol.

With the sexual harrassment allegations against him, he is now becoming John Elliott Mk II and is no longer the happy go lucky larrikan some would like to paint him as.

I am glad it is school holidays so his oldest daughter doesnt have to explain to her friends what her brain dead dad is doing on the front page of the paper.

My gut feeling is that's as far as any of those allegations will go.

Maybe there is nothing in it..... or maybe there is and we'll hush it up..... I don't know verbs, but your gut feeling could be correct...... or maybe not.

Remarkably though..... people who keep their noses clean, tend not to have to worry about these sorts of things.

I hate the fact we're going to fine him 10K and just sweep this issue under the carpet again.. pretend there isnt a problem..
what a shithouse attitude from our administration with a young talented list.

I'm with you Josh - it's bloody disgusting.

I hope common sense prevails before it goes too far. I have a feeling (maybe wishful thinking) they are working behind the scenes to secure a trade.

Hopefully they have told him to keep his mouth shut while they fix the problem. I can't imagine they would've all gone on holidays happy with the $10K fine.

Agree with you Josh.

It leaves a hollow feeling watching an organization that you follow conduct itself with dodgy standards.

$10K is the limit with which the club can fine him under the AFLPA.

I'm sure if they were able to - $50K would have been preferred fine by the club.

I blame Judd.

The captain should have done the right thing by the club on the night and attacked Fev's pressure point behind his ear to put him to sleep before he could cause anymore damage.

I was listening to Dermott Brereton on SEN this morning with Andy Maher and Tim Watson as they discussed this Fev episode.

Dermott said that when Gary Ablett Snr. was recruited by Hawthorn; he was a "wild child" from Drouin with a precocious talent......but only managed to play 6 games.

Coach Allan Jeans could see problems ahead with Ablett for the "Family Club" (as it was known then).....and delisted him.

Ablett eventually ended up at Geelong.......but....as Dermott said.....he missed out on playing in 5 Premierships.

Funny the way things work out.

You're not surprised at the lack of response are you though Josh?

The club has had a million chances to make a statement on our culture, and it has come to the combined total of a one week suspension for Garlett, Betts, and Cloke, a $10,000 fine for Fev, and a behavioural clause for Fev which lasted for one season.

We're getting pretty tough :yikes:

And... we've just recruited a bloke who has had his own share of alcohol fueled incidents (I should say I support the trade decision... just wonder if our club is well placed to handle him)

Club should be able to refer serial offenders to AFLPA - put it back in their court to see if the AFLPA are serious about the welfare issues of their players or its just lip service everytime they negotiate their CBA.

If Brendan had punched someone out that night I'd feel differnetly but from what I've heard he simply acted like a dick and if we're going to trade any footballer who acts like a dick we're going to have about three blokes on the list (and the other 15 clubs are no different).

So it's OK to harass women,as long as he doesn't belt their fellas?

Oh my God. Most of you guys are all being a bunch of 60 year old politicians

Ok these are true stories:
* My ex room mate years ago met [edit] out in a pub, he kept harrassing her the whole nite and ended up leaving.
* Wayne Carey grabs girls on the boobs out in public and other harrassments.
* [edit] hits on a girl i knew years ago. Taps her on the butt and asks her for a root when he's married n kids.
* I know of another girl that was in Adelaide and a afl player just come up behind her in a bar and put his hand up her skirt and touched her on the ass and etc

The list goes on and on. Its not acceptable, but this happens out in public with all sports athletes and other guys out there do the same. The world is not perfect n never will be, you can't clean it up. Trading/Sacking players won't fix the issue, managing those players and improving them as a person is what matters.

If Fevola talked to a chick that nite, it was probably reported as harrassment. Anything to sell a story, its the HS, how many things have they published not True? i know of quite a bit.

Fevola is no prince, but guys please stop blowing everything out of proportion to base your case on why fev should be sacked or traded.

hmmmmmmmm

i would love this forward line next year!! NOT

betts, yarran, houlihan, cloke, setanta

We will win a lot of games, wont we?. Not many players will be open because fev commands a double / triple team every time. One thing about fev is when carlton win with him kicking only a goal or two, he gets people open because he is double team/triple teamed.

When Fev is not playing, the rest of the forward line is one on one.

Something to think about if u really want to get rid of Fev.

So then why doesn't Fev take note of these guys and do his stupidy un noticed.

Forget political correctness this justification for abhorrent behavior is the pits!

I am no shrinking violet but i do feel for the many female fans that may be reading this thread.

The justification for anti-social behaviour by a so called sports star is mindblowiing!
