What happened ?

We were behind on the scoreboard when I switched off the tv to attend a work meeting, when I came back on we were ahead, so switched off the tele again...must now watch the replay !

All the talk about Geelong missing their fullback and centre-half-back, thus being understrength. Anyone heard of Jamo and Waite????
The intensity was awesome. Thornton, Houla and Russell excellent.
Gibbs, Judd, Kreuze, Judd the cream.
Playing the same team, with finals closing in, was an MC masterstroke - about time to stop making a plethora of changes and settle the boys, show some faith, and BANG!!!!!!!!!
Loved every second. :thanks:

Is it any wonder we get frustrated with this mob. We bring our A-game against Geelong and the Aints, attack and play without fear, yet dish up shite against trash like Essendon*, Collingwood and close wins over bottom-dwellers. Is it the message they're sent before the game, or their own natural preparation to be 'careful' against the crap?

Perhaps you should be looking deep inside yourself and questioning your own frustrations?

No, I think it's very valid. I think if we only scraped in against the dees in a few weeks we'd have every right to be disappointed.

Ease up on Don we all know it's those damn losses to the scum...just look at the ladder Don....look at where those scumbags are at the moment.... and if it's any consolation I had a bet going with a scum supporter I work with on who would finish higher at seasons end...

Even after his first touch, I said it, but at half time I was convinced, Thornton circa 2009 is in AA form. His touch is amazing.
MO he's our best backman in 2009. Great gane.

As for the rest, it panned out as I hoped and punted. I was after a 5 goal win.

Our intensity was fantastic.

Armfield cllosed down Bartel and played well
Russell closed down Johnson and played well
Joseph closed down Ablett and played well
Judd decimated Ling's tag
Gibbs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Selwood
Murphy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>all of them
Simpson carved up Corey
Carrazzo, Houla and Robbo in the midfield were fantastic defensively in particular

Kreuzer was AMAZING
Hammer arrived tonight

...Bettsy killed them on the night (scoreboard didn't show)

8 goalkickers

Fev should have kicked 8. I hope he's saving it for the First Semi

Ratts' Plan C (for 2010) I believe arrived tonight (offensive-defensive and a collective mindset).
The players just seemed to get the mix right.

A great performance despite average game from Walker, Hadley, Stevens. Scotland and Wiggins. Add Warnock and Jamison and presto ..........when they all find form.

Judd: They know we're coming 2009

Had to drive, but i watched it with my Geelong mate and shook his hand at the end with the biggest bloody smile imaginable on my face.

Does life get much better? I don't think so, unless we beat the Saints in the GF by 1pt.

Agree! It seems when we play the stronger teams our attitude is to go for it and the whole team puts in. When the media talk us up as being a shoe in playing against a weaker side the wheels fall off big time.
