Fantastic ins for this week, especially Walker!! Lets hope he plays a blinder

I'm happy with these ins, and outs. When Waite and Warnock finally get fit, it's a pretty formidable side

Thought Hadley was a bit stiff

Not sure about Army or Robbo over Hadles. Love the outs!!!

Ooooh, so close with my ins... althought you could argue 4 of them were no-brainers.

Interesting outs, Scotland survives after something of a lapse because his ball use and intensity are better than Yarran... hmmm.

Very slow forward line with Mitch in the mix, I really hope we mix it up via our midfield brigade.

This is really exciting...great to see Walks and Setant back
I love both Garlett, and Yarran, but there is plenty of time for both of them..no worries at all.
I really want Stevo to shine, and soo hope he does.
A little scared seeing JR posted at HF...but sure he won't stay there.
I see him as the Kylie of the team...used to be the singing budgie, but turned it around with hard work and passion. Anyone who tries that hard is ok in my book..so I hope he has a good nite. GO Mitch Baby!!
Would have loved to see Cloke back..(don't throw things at me!!!)..and I believe he can make it back in the team..and hope he does soon.
Can't wait for tomorrow nite!

Hmmmm. That's a LOT of changes.

Well -
Happy to see Johnson out. He is terrible.
Bently tried hard last week, but don't think he's up to it.

Shock one was Grigg, but to be honest he really hasn't done much of late.

VERY Excited to see Setanta back. Best of luck you crazy bastard! :-)

Good luck to Walker. Bit nervous for him, i probably would have given him another game in the twos.

Stevens, it's allllllllllllll on you now. No more sooky-la la excuses. You've been given a chance to play at a level most people on dream off. You have the skills and talents, now Use Them!

I am liking the look of that team !!!!!!!!! Disappointed for Yarren, thought he could have had another week, but apart from that I am pretty happy. Pretty close to our full strength team IMO (apart from Grigg being out who is in our best 22 IMO).

Should be some good reading for when I get home !!!!!!!!!!!!

generally happy.
bit concerned about setanta straight in - I love hime & want him in the team but wonder whether he will be able to come straight back & pick up where he left off. thought cloke may have got a guernsey first, on current form.
also, not convinced by army. maybe he'll play a role for us & hopefully he can harness his enthusiasm.
would have like yarran to stay another week but can't really argue that he SHOULD have stayed.
not unhappy about grigg being dropped - this guy needs to be given a short leash until he forms consistently good habits or he could end up underperforming over his career & even a disruptive force within the team. if handled properly now, we are more likely to see the best of him for years to come.

last week we were way too tentative both with and without the ball.
these selections indicate the MC is onto it. good sign.

I like the changes

The forward line was completely broken last week so I don't have a problem with Fisher and Yarran out
O'hAilpin in for Fisher is obvious and Twitch Probably deserves another shot he's in for Yarran.

Walker a good swap for Johnston

Jameson for Hartlet is fairly obvious.

I guess if we have to have a midfield defender with poor skills I'd rather have a quick one like Armfield over a Bentley.

I rate Grigg but I think he has been a bit underdone all year. This may be the wake-up call that he needs like Russell had earlier in the year.If Stevens brings his A game it can only be good for the team

I'm happy with the changes......especially Hale out for the Roos

Grigg will be back soon and Yarran will be a regular in years to come.

.. ..that's quite a few changes, a couple of injuries contributed, but there's a case for dropping them anyway so yeah, alot of changes.. ..but they were needed, simple as that.. ..a big improvement on paper..

1 possibly 2 talls too many.

We dont need Austin in that linup. Also if walker is going to play back i dont think we need Bower Jamo and thornton back their. Sacrifice one of them (thornton) for some more dash. Prefer the Cats model of two talls and a bunch of dashing runners.
Something for the future perhaps once we have seen how walker holds up. I reckon he will play wing this week. Seem to get out of the way of a few contests last week in the ants so out wide and using his run is the go.

It does look one of our better sides on paper and there is still plenty of room for improvement. The future looks bright.

Agree, Austin is overkill, but I think we're trying to stretch the Kangas. Just need to lead and kick better.

I think a more likely starting lineup would be;

B: Bower - Jamison - Armfield
HB: Houlihan - Thornton - Austin
C: Stevens - Gibbs - Simpson
HF: Walker - O'hAilpin - Scotland
F: Betts - Fevola - Robinson
Foll: Kreuzer - Murphy - Judd
I/C: Russell - Carrazzo - Joseph - Hampson

I do see the problem of too many talls in the back half of the field though.

Height differentials as per the as-listed forwards and backs

NMHF: Matt Campbell (174cm) - Lachie Hansen (197cm) - Liam Anthony (189cm)
CAHB: Andrew Walker (190cm) - Bret Thornton (192cm) - Bryce Gibbs (188cm)

NMFF: Lindsay Thomas (181cm) - Corey Jones (188cm) - Brent Harvey (172cm)
CAFB: Paul Bower (192cm) - Michael Jamison (193cm) - Dennis Armfield (182cm)

Looks like there are three height mismatches going on there (Walker/Campbell, Bower/Thomas, Armfield/Harvey).

1AW   :thanks: :thanks:

Stevo........expect a big one from him, and hopefully for the rest of the year. A month off is a big rocket surely ?

Would have liked to see Garlett for Yarran, as we probably don't need Austin given the line ups.

The omission of Hale points to a tank, so I doubt they give a toss about honouring Simmo. Blues by 40 in a must-win game (although I was only 80 points out last week :screwy: )
