Why do I have a feeling you are referring to Gibbs

OUT: Johnson (inj), Judd (inj), Hartlett, Scotland
IN: Stevens, Garlett, O'Hailpin, Jamison.

Gibbs to play in the full-time in the centre as Judd's replacement. Carrazzo and Simpson to play on-ball. Stevens and Murphy play out wide.
Jamo to Fullback, allowing Thornton to play 3rd man and set-up play. Yarran to the half-back flank. Joseph and Garlett to play forward and provide pressure. Fev and O'Hailpin lead up. Fisher stays deep.

I'd been calling for it, but that was when we could afford to let one of their pocket players roam free...

Now it'll be Carrots in the back pocket. :\

I know he has many fans on TC, but Grigg has yet to convince me he's AFL material, and I thought he was ordinary against the Pies...frustrating and ordinary.

Prior to last week imo he was shanking 4 of his 5 kicks and his handball is iffy.

Furthermore, he is one sided. Hasn't got half a right foot or hand.

Maybe he's the 'gun'.

Setanta for Fish
Jamison for Hartlett
Stevens for Bentley
Walker for Johnson
Armfield for Grigg
Garlett for Yarran
Robinson for Austin
(not that Austin isn't good, but with Jamo and Setanta back, I want to stick with more forward pressure and pace.

If either Setanta and Jamison are sidelined again...well we're pharqued if it's both. I would then keep Austin in as a backman.

Hale at FF is a worry for mine.
I remember Jamison and Thornton looking like dwarfs when Hale stretched out those long arms.

Sydney Blue has suggested Setanta on Hale....which surprised me coming from SB but I agree.
Having said that, I do not want Setanta being thrown around back ruck forward and happy for him to settle and further develop in at CHF and back the midfield to dominate.

Only tag would be Joseph on Harvey.

If the midfield don't dominate, then it doesn't matter who we are playing in the backline.

Come on Blues....you can do it.....you must do it.

Only 5 games left. We need to get further ahead from Bumbers and Hawks.

This is NOT the easy win we had previously though this game to be.

3 weeks ago, i penciled this game down as a certain win, now - i ain't so sure. Especially after the piss-weak effort on friday night.

And now, with favourite son Adam Simpson announcing his retirement, this game is gonna be tough.

Hell, i'm even questioning if we deserve to start favourites?

lol have you seen north's performances in send off games for their club legends in recent years?

A lot of you are jumping at the shadows again. Blues by 4 goals

You question Grigg's disposal yet suggest replacing him with Armfield?

Why do I get the feeling he is telling porky pies again like he did last week about Stevens coming into the side based on what he heard at the presidents lunch.

My biggest concern is that Ratts is so against making a lot of changes.
However in this case i think its justified - especially considering that injuries are a big factor.

OUT
Hartlett
Johnson (inj)
Yarran
Grigg
Bentley
Austin

IN
Jamison (fingers crossed)
Walker
Garlett
Stevens
O'Hailpin
Robinson

He didn't seem to be adverse to making a lot of changes when we lost to Essendon*.

Minimum changes need to be at the very least Bentley and Fisher out as these two are not up to it...but the more important changes this week need to come from the box....I'd like to see us NOT tag anyone this week...that's right nobody Ratts...so it outs Bentley Fisher and tagging for mine....Ins Walker and the others dont really matter much, maybe Garlett for some pace. Personnel is not an issue this week as we'll win no probs....I'd just like to see some changes to the way we play.

Best post I have read all year.

No bloody tagging. This is all that Ratts has been focussing on. No flower flooding either.

Let the idiots worry about us. Just tell them get the damn ball, and someone run past.

Maybe I'm a nervous nellie but I'm surprised at how confident some are of a win this week. I'm hopeful rather than confident and at this stage of the season, against a side we should beat comfortably, that's a bad thing imho.

I'd be okay with Grigg having a run in the twos. He's young, he's got lots of time ahead of him... he's not adding heaps at the moment... He can go back and play with a bit of freedom for the Ants.

They'll never drop Gibbs - he basically won us the game against Sydney after being moved into the centre.

I haven't said he will get dropped. The feeling 'G' gets is he'll be running around in a red jumper this week.

If Gibbs is dropped, I'll just sit back and laugh very hard at our MC.

Grigg? well I'd move him back to defence for a period.
