And you're missing the point again Juddy. Pretty sure I have stated I don't oppose the thread or those expressing their views. I'm laughing as much at myself as you guys, as both sides are sounding like broken records as we continually cover the same ground.

At least you blokes grabbed a win tonight. Congratulations

Thats not saying much about our coach.

After a rethink i'll be fighting on in here until i see our coach removed from my club......... and after tonight im sure there will be a few more joining the chorus

Like a real Troll you cant stay away - can you. You must be so rapt we lost - celebration time for you. Does not change the facts a) You have no effing idea about football b) you have no credibility here (Mr. High horse "I am leaving" - and back again in 10 minutes).

Yes im so happy that my team lost............... boring!!!!!!!!!!!

Like i said, Im absolutely gutted witnessing my team give it a crack and go down by almost 10 goals

I'm going to post this again, because I think it got lost in the mud slinging that seems to be going on. Maybe this will get us back on topic.

I think that we need to make a genuine play for Laidley as Director of Coaching / Tactics.

We can't afford to have Ratts learning on the job next year as well.

Thoughts?

I totally agree. If Ratten is to stay on we need to get some talented thinkers around him

The thing is im not sure anyone would wanna work with Ratten. Honestly what would you learn from him?

And i doubt he would want a Laidley, Sanderson or Hardwick sitting next to him cause he would be shown out

So against Essendon* a statement was made, Ratts came out hard that week and launched an attack on the playing group. 1 month later we are back to square one, what's going wrong?

I had my doubts about Ratten after the Essendon* game, tonights loss has just confirmed it !!!!!

Yep agree, lets get Laidley. we cant do any worse than what we have in coaching Panel already.

Give Laidley the coaching job,,,,,,,,,,,, not the Director's job !!!

To answer your question. I think it would be a half pregnant solution that wouldn't improve the situation at all.

Either Ratten was a mistake, and you sack him and appoint an accomplished coach. Laidley had half as much talent to work with at the Roos, so I'm sure he could make something of our list.

OR

Ratten needs more time. The question then becomes how much? At the end of the year Ratten will have clocked up 2 and a quarter seasons. Terry Wallace only got 5.

Sorry mate  The idea certainly has merit. One of a number of issues already canvassed in the many Ratts threads though.

I'd sincerely hope that Ratts would want to win a flag and the best way a coach can look good is to have good people around him.

Melvey, I'd be disappointed if what you are saying about Stevens and Scotland is true. They also need to be team players, particularly as they enter the twighlight of their careers.

I too think that the boys gave it a good crack today but we were beaten by well drilled, tactically superior outfit.

Agree, that the coaching team needs a complete revamp, more experience and nous has to be brought in...

Ratten has had a go his way and that's not worked...its time for Icke and Swan to make changes.

I think ratts was totally out coached - and

once again the same old players hurt us tonight

and no forward set up at all

and Hammer is not ready to take on main rucking duties

and I cannot believe Ratts has coached this side to miss all those goals. dick head.

Ahhhh ive worked it out.. youre mrs ratten right???

you earliuer said you dont mind people having a go at rarts coaching mrs ratten.. as long as its within reason or something?

Well mrs ratten...youve had your fun lately...having a go at us are you mrs ratten???... protecting the hubby are you????.... ..but here are my reasons again...

my reasons..
1)we know how hard it is this coaching caper to find one that can coach.. % are pretty low to have a good one..
2)hasnt coached anywhere
3)had the job handed to him on a plate by mates.
4)side undrilled after 2 years,.,
5) cant kick.... players have genuine skill flaws .. even judd and gibbs..
6) not enough kids have improved - its just been organic improvement... our lesser players struggle even our good ones struggle.
7) confusion on the part
8) too static
9) mrs ratten.... im getting onto nine... how many bad starts have we had... suggests whatever he says to them before they go out onto the park is having a nagative effect... (probably cos his tactics and mindset is one of negativity) mrs ratten....and the tactics and preparation which has been laid in place during the week.. mrs.. ratten... are usually that negative and flawed ...

dadadadada said.. it .. we went in too top heavy FOR STARTERS against collingwood..)... anyway our preparation often leaves us behind the eight ball.

10) Collingwood played with more FIRST YEAR players who played a solid role....in their more disciplined.. more drilled win...

Im assuming you are mrs ratten..... or a cousin???

and if you think im having a go.. you should read what you write up...

Now that was TEN REASONS WHY I THINK HE IS THE WRONG COACH... and until this club admits it was a horrendous mistake appointing Ratten as coach and moves to change things we will be hitting a glass ceiling...

... and no matter how many number 1 picks we have or Champion footballers... (he cant get the best out of anyone mind you)..., we will be banging our heads against the glass ceiling

Now what i want from you.... are three reasons as to WHY RATTEN IS THE RIGHT MAN....

Just THREE...

the floor is yours.... and whoever wants to take a crack...

Not ... so so wasnt liked and look at him now argument....

BUT WHY RATTS IS THE RIGHT MAN on what he HAS SHOWN SO FAR!!!

Ok????

We could have not kicked a point and we wouldnt have deserved to win that game....

Our forward entries are extremely naive and childlike.....
