Essendon* are 16th for blocks in the AFL. Yet you're often singing the praises of Knights and Richardson.
Get a new whinge Melvey, this ones lacking substance.

your reply MAKES NO SENSE and your reply has no substance.

Why do you even bother reading my posts. Hey, im glad to know that you make the effort to read them. Thanks!

Ooh, the "I know you are, but what am I?" response.

That's a new one for you, Melvey

Melvey. I will spell it out for you.
Blocks = 1% in football language.
You often say that Carlton have no players with 1% ers
Essendaon are 16th in the league for 1%ers yet you often tell us all about how good they are compared to Carlton....That's the confusion

It's like looking at a train wreck. You know you shouldn't but you just can't turn away. The scene is bound to be horrendous and make no earthly sense to your brain, but still we look. :screwy:

All Melvey said was that we dont do 1%'ers well enough and he gets jumped on because Essendon* are 16th for blocks

And you don't see the inconsistency in Melvey's stance?

You guys should try adding Melvey to your foes list. It's amazing how much shorter this whole thread is when you can't read what he is writing!

I'm still not sold on Ratts, but Saturday was very good. And I'll repeat again that I think everyone fails to understand the first half. To repeat, just look at our first half v Sydney at the SCG earlier in this season. Sydeny were forced to play the same way in the first half this time until our superior fitness took over and we destroyed them. Coaching is no longer just about what you do when your players are up and firing, it is about what you do when your players aren't up and firing.

Come on fellas, put smiles on your dials

We beat the team we haven't beaten for nine years by ten goals. The Ants won. Both the Bombers and the Wobbles lost. Great football weekend for a Blue.

Life is good

Hypothetical.

If a club wins a Premiership every 10 years, thats roughly 220-240 games played before the ultimate prize is achieved.

I get the distinct impression that a number of posters on TC will never be happy with the team performance regardless of how they play win or lose, unless the team wins that 1 game (except for Melvey who would be distraught if we won the Premiership).

Imagine being upset, angry and bent out of shape about your club for 239 games out of 240. For the life of me I can't understand why people would put themselves through such misery, never being able to see the bright side of anything.

The ability that some have to write negative things after a 10 goal win over a team that has tormented us for sooooooo long is truly astounding.

I want to know how you get away with it?

Hey, no stress Melvey. I'll read anyones posts with interest.
I'm not into this blocking of posters, alternative views are good.
Even inconsistent and uninformed ones.

Why would you do that, Melvey?

No need to take one's bat and ball and go home, because people don't accept your "wisdom".

fwiw melvey, i enjoy reading what you write and find myself agreeing with 90% of what you say.
Its a shame that all the dont-say-anything-negative-ever posters are slowly driving away posters who have a different opinion for lurkers such as myself.

I don't recall ever seeing any post ever demanding only positive things be posted.

The thing a lot of people want is posting with no hidden agendas and some sense behind them.

Differing opinions are welcomed, and intelligent debate is relished, but not, it would seem, by some, who seem to crack the sads when their line of "logic" is shown as flawed.

What's this? A sooky La La convention? :donk:

Nobodys driving anyone away. Post your negative whinges as much as you want.
Just expect to be accountable like everyone else. Surely you cant expect to have pot shots without being accountable.

BTW, I enjoy most of Melveys posts as well. They are a good laugh.
