I know this has been discussed before but after listening to a discussion on SEN regarding alternate guernseys, I think the time is right now for Carlton to cash in and get CASHED UP.
It is the dawn of what really will be the re-birth of the new age modern Carlton Football Club so I ask:

Would you support the introduction of an appropriate alternate/away strip?

btw...we should definately keep the traditional guerney for home games imo.

I've voted against it, as I wouldn't want to see our famous jumper/logo changed too much. I'd have to see the actual jumpers being considered.

Yes only for the clash games though like Melbourne and StKilda.

I'm all for it. More merchandise opportunities for the club and to kill off jumper clashes.

You forgot the 3rd option:

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

Or is that the Meg Ryan option.

Not sure.

I was on this issue 2 years ago. There are so many reasons why our club should embrace an alternate guernsey. When will our club rise from the dark ages and take on the future? I am getting sick and tired of our impotence on this matter.

Exactly, after the last few years, tradition has gone out the window, its time to start the new era of Carlton.

If they had any brains they wouldnt worry about alternative jumpers .. well... they would just bring the woven logo back in and everyone would buy it with any silvers or baby blue colours changing the strip.

We should have done this years ago. Any such change will have my full support.

i meant *without*

We should just change to our 70s 80s 90s strip and sell that one ...
This one could be our alternative strip...

That guernsey looks good to me too the shag.
I think this poll gives a good indication of what the younger generation blues supporters think.
It's surely gotta be a good for marketing and finances you'd think.
C'MON COLLO, GET WITH IT!!!

White monogram guys!

Italian Styles, maybe a little project for you to come up with half a dozen designs when you have some spare time.

NO, NO, NO
I understand the merchandising and all that.
But we already have the best jumper. Let's maintain some tradition.
Keep changing the jumper every week and we lose what it represents.
If I supported a half arsed side with an average history and they wore a crap jumper then fine, change it to make a few dollars.
We Are The Navy Blues, not the f@#king Lilly Whites.
Carrots was quoted as saying that he was proud to pull on the Navy Blue jumper. Well of corse he was. Look who's worn that jumper before him. No other club has a list of players like we've had and they all wore the Navy Blue.
I will be in the minority in this debate and I've read nothing thus far to change my view.
I'd rather buy my kids a second Navy Blue jumper than a new white one.
Cause while our side holds up the ladder I'm trying to remind them that once we were great and we will be again. When the kids look through old pictures or tapes the players have OUR jumper on, not some marketing tool.
Regards Pedro.

Quick search on this forum and you'll find more designs than you can poke a stick at!

Yep, I know....but I.S is the guru of designing. I'd like to see what he was able to come up with.
