Rohan Connolly reads Talking Carlton. He has written an article about Setanta O'Hailpin and a good read it is.

2nd page, last paragraph where talking carlton cracks a mention........

Quote:
An obvious passion is, though, while O'hAilpin's battle through a mysterious injury and determination to win back the respect lost after the Cloke incident has won him new admirers, even among the notoriously hard-to-please Carlton hordes, whose debate about the Irishman's chances of winning a new contract at the end of this season recently occupied more than 14 pages worth of posts on the "Talking Carlton'' fan forum.

Absolutely loved this line........

Quote:
There's an obvious punch line in all this, of course, which is that five months after kicking Cameron Cloke in the arse, O'hAilpin is doing so again.

Maybe we should help Rohan out. We could start a few left field/imaginative threads so he can get some breaking news stories.

For example:
* Captain Carlton foils a bank robbery. (Four Collingwood supporters arrested at the scene. Reports indicate a collingwood player was driving the car).

* In a Barassi-like move, JR to be Carlton's first Captain/President.

* Fisher approached to be a kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

* Razor Ray gives free kick to Carlton.

* Essendon* drafts AFL's first chimpanzee. Says it was the only way they could think of to improve their hanging all over Judd at the stoppages.

* It's becoming clear that Ratts is not the man... Oh... hang on a sec.

cant believe i hadn't noticed this thread. . Lol. .

Dont forget to tell rohan that geelong is copying carlton by reverse tanking. We've had stevens and scotland out for two weeks before they caught on and dropped mackie and ablett. We're keeping stevo fresh for grand final day :)

Footy "journalism" is really going down hill when they openly admit that they pinch their material off forums. At least before they had the decency to pretend they had their own ideas.

They were all believable, but that one about Razor Ray was just too hard to swallow.

Sorry... I get a bit carried away sometimes. Lucky i didn't include that headline about Vozzo being nominated as Umpire of the Year.

That's an interesting take on the presented evidence. :donk:
