I think Carlos didn't train fully last week (and then played one of his best games for the club).
His back still has Fev's knee imprint bruised on it from the Essendon* debarcle.
Bit sore but I gather he will play.

I watched the Freo game again last night and I have to say the only time I noticed Bentley was when they were singing the song after the game... :?

Except that he gave off the handball for Gibbs to goal in the last quarter

Plus 6 & 5 for 11 disposals
3 marks
3 tackles
2 Inside 50
3 rebpind 50
4 contested possesions
7 uncontested possesions
64% disposal effectiveness

Not TOO bad I would have thought

Just watched it again BENTLEY handball to Gibbs who gives to Grigg....goal in the third quarter

Maybe I'm over critical of the guy...do you know what position he played?

Looked like he played off a flank. Probaly part of the rotation. I say that because he also had a centre clearance

Its going to be WET and Raining all day with Strong Winds. That means a Close game, low Scoring and We are Screwed if We don't drop some of our talls in the Forward line.

Fisher and the Irish man will Struggle... Bring in some Smalls... Yarran would be perfect!!!

wet conditions dont bring teams closer IMO. They expose the team with the poorer skills of the two, and increase the margin of skill level by hand and foot. . .we carry the ball alot better than them, and with all the kids in their side, anyone on our side with a good sized frame becomes so important in pushing these kids around *cough* bentley *cough*. Look for fisher's hands to play a big part up forward, look for hartlett's lack of speed to not be an issue, look for eddie to crumb the many chances he'll get, and for gibbs, carrots, judd to dominate again this week.

Look for our blokes to fail miserably in the wet as they have all year, then.

We continually seek to gain possession first and foremost, probably have the lowest number of knock-ons in the competition. Richmond played a good brand of wet weather footy under Terry. The rain is very bad for us.

Rain, hail or shine - we should beat the tigers. Having to play in the rain isn't a good enough reason to drop this. If we go hard from the opening minute, we should towel them up.

I know wet weather can bring selection changes, and can give teams a chance to close the gap. But as said above, that is only if the better team lets them. Our skillful players should give us the edge. I'm expecting a win, even with our line up, and will be absolutely gutted if we lose.

There's an answer for the people who couldn't find a match up for Hartlett down back. I'd suggest we knew early in the week Setanta wasn't going to play.

MC must be taking the P15s, there's no other explanation.

Spot on cuddles.

A strong message needed to be sent to the playing group about committment and thats whats happening.

Be a shame though if " the strong message about commitment " costs us this game and a place in the finals .
If it hadn't been for Chris Judd it would have cost us the game against an undermanned Freo last week .

Strong winds means our shots at goal will go through the middle!!!

I agree perfect conditions for the smooth moving Yarran.

With these conditions you would think they would bring in a small as opposed to a tall to cover Setanta.
Ando deserves it the most, but his skillis still in developement stage, and these conditions would not suit him I think.

Therefore Yarran would be a good choice, especially if we are replacing a forward..

I'm a little worried as these conditions generaly give the weeker side a better chance.....

A win today would put us oh so close to cementing a finals birth....

I've watched the Freo game several times with a big smile.

I've been wanting to post that I take back the 'nah...won't make it" comment I made about Bentley. I saw a lot of good things Bentley did against Freo. He is willing, head over the ball and very strong (it seems). I think he helped us win a few 50/50 contests which did not contibute to his stats. His disposal is a bit Carrazzo like (a bit too much air).

He should do very well in today's condiditons. I hope he does. I'm glad he's been give two games in a row. Redemption.

Yarran will freeze in Melbourne this weekend.

COME ON BLUEBAGGERS

We have to win this one....by 69 points would be good (get that percentage back from the Bumbers game).

1 point win will do me just fine though.
