Does anyone know if Ellard is elgible? His form in the twos has been ok and you could actually visualise a role for him in the side, whereas I'm still not sure what Bentleys role is as yet.

I'm more concerned about Carrazzo.

Our weakest side for the year, Richmond must be lying awake at night trying to get matchups for Fisher, Bentley, Armfield and Johnson.
No chance in this game now.

Given that Richmond are most likely tanking I can't see how we could possibly lose this game. Should be Ratts' easiest gig yet...he could probably doze off in the box and we'll get over the line....

nice to have great team mates

from where I sit a few Carlton players can thank Judd, Murphy, Gibbs and Carazzo for putting in a brilliant last quarter that has made our selectors see the cup half full on last weeks display ... amazing how a victory makes people see through rose coloured glasses

the thumbs up attitude to the entire playing squad has me baffled

danger game

Believe me we are certainties in this one...just cast your mind back to our tanking years (esp second half of the years matches inn those years) ....remember that feeling??? You just knew we were going to lose...you cheered but still you knew....you hoped....but it was already carved in stone.

So this is our weakest side in years?
We look terrible on paper?
The worst HB line ever?

We have made one change to a team that Beat Freo ( without Pav ) and this is what we come down too.
How lucky that our second worst side ever beat a team that has commonly recentely referred to us as there Bearch.. And we beat them on the road.

I can't understand how we are so critical yet we have made ONE change. Obviously last weeks performance was a fluke. We really missed Stevens and Scotland......Simply Amazing .....

Yes, Bentley gets another game and people knock this decision. Sure the guy hasn't done a lot, i agree, but what sort of confidence do we instill by playing the up down up down game with players. Will we be screaming for Harts to be dropped if after one game he doesn't fire? Give them two or three and then drop them. Banno got his two. Gartlett keeps getting two. Yarran got two. I think you'll find the match committee might actually know what they are doing.

As for Johnston, if he never got himself injured i would suspect he would never have lost his spot at the time.

Yes there are unlucky players and at good successful clubs there should be unlucky players.Depth is what makes a successful club.

I like the way we are going about it. Its two weeks at a time.

Oh yes and Richmond really are a better side that Freo aren't they ?? So don't worry about the second worst Carlton Team beating Freo lets worry about the worst Carlton Team beating Richmond ( without Foley ).

Oh well .... Your turn now....

We wanted to make a statement with Stevens and Scotland the week before and yet still play Armfield and Bentley this week :screwy:

Obviously we defer to the wisdom of the MC, but.....

Where will Harts play? Surely not in the forward line with Fev, Fish & Carlos (and I will be annoyed if Carlos is moved into defence, after a good showing in attack last week). The Tigers will generate a LOT of run out of defence if that's the case. And isn't it meant to rain?

If Harts plays in defence - who will he match up on? I doubt he is mobile enough to play on Morton, Reiwoldt or Vickery. :?

And you look at a few names in that team and seriously wonder what is going on with Scotland...

Maybe its a long winded statement...

But seriously I dont mind that Stevens and Scotland are still both out...one of our main player related problems has been lazy input from our more senior players. I mean even if Ratts is getting it wrong most of the time (and IMO he is) the senior guys should be able to steady the ship (and improvise) to some extent.

Far too much is left up to Judd and it is about time the senior guys either put in more or make way for younger guys to come in who may actually show a bit of passion for the jumper.

But I must admit it is baffling as to why Bentley is in the team given that in both games he has played there didnt seem to be any distinct role for him. Maybe 3rd time lucky...

I think the MC rate him as genuinely committed, which should be a non-negotiable we'd all agree with I presume.
