This guy is a class act...reads the game so well, gets too many possessions not to be in our best 22. Has a footy brain something we are in need of...apart from the Juddmeister..Carrots is right up there.

Tambling should be a focus this week.

Yeh yeh you're all saying he's a dud but he has improved a shitload this year and is linking up from half back through the middle.

Jackson will go to Judd.

Nahas troubled Adelaide so he will also have to be closely watched.

Joseph maybe?

He got cousins last time, our defence should handle them easily, they're a bad side without foley, and richo. And brown and bowden in the magoos. . .

It looks like Austin is out thanks to the match review panel. I'm not sure if we can get away with not playing another tall(ish) defender. Looks like Bower won't be ready and I don't think there's a good match up for Harts (Riewoldt, Morton and Vickery would all be too quick for him). Edwards could potentially be another option, but I doubt we'll see him in Navy Blue again.

So it's probably down to Banno or Joey. Neither guy is ideally suited to play as a tall defender, but both are medium sized defenders who have played on taller opponents in the VFL. I'd probably lean towards Banno. Like a number of others, he had a shocker against Essendon*, but if things are going pear shaped in the midfield vs Richmond, he might also be useful in a tagging role or to block for Juddy. This, plus being able to play a little taller than Joey, gives him the edge IMO.

I'd bring in Joey if the MC were looking to drop Armfield, Bentley, Johhno or Garlett (although I've got a feeling all those guys might keep their place). And I'd like to see Scotland back in the side, but I wouldn't be rushing Stevo back personally.

Do Krooze or Hammer need a rest? I hope not, but no Bullants game this week means it could be on the cards. If so, Cloke might get another go (not ideal, but I don't want us to kill Krooze & Hammer at this early stage of their careers).

Robbo's last appearance in the VFL was a very undisciplined effort and he hasn't played a game since 13th June, so I doubt he will get a game this week. And I wouldn't promote Yarran again until he strings some strong footy together for the Bullants.

Yeah, so for me it's probably -

In: Banno, Scotland

Out: Aussie (susp), Bentley

Armfield and Garlett JUST hold their spot ahead of Joey, simply because I think we need their leg speed vs Tigers at the 'G.

And Cloke in IF Hammer or Krooze need a rest.

I'm also happy that Foley isn't playing. Don't think he's been in super form, but in years past he has troubled us.
We have to keep an eye on Nahas, but no point tagging him.
I agree that Tambling could be trouble, let AJ put him off his game. Cousins will be much better than last time we played him, so need to keep him in check

OUT:
Austin, Bentley,

IN:
Scotland, Anderson

I would rather play Ando and give him a challenge than bring Bannister back

I would prefer to rest Stevens if his elbow is suspect, our mids should be able to get the job done.
I also think that Houla is safe for the moment - might be under more pressure when Walker is fit.
Don't really think Yarran has done anything to warrant selection - I know there is the theory that he is an AFL player not a VFL player, but I think he needs to show a bit more spark.

Fisher stays in by default, again. Not ideal

Enough stupidity for one week....

Get Scotland and Stevens back into the team.....The effort we put in against a depleted freo side was an absoloute joke and we shouldnt flatter ourselves too much....

Its not acceptable to turn up to games with this sort of attitude and mentality....

The biggest IN for us this week is if Walker will be in for the ants...

Unlikely, given that the Ants have a bye...

My changes would be:

Out
- Bentley (not up to it)
- Armfield (2 poor matches in a row - needs to improve kicking)
- Austin (susp)

In
- Scotland
- Anderson (in his 3rd year - we need to find out about him)
- Browne

Fisher stays in by default.
Maybe swap Garlett for Yarran?

Match ups:
Deledio - Russell
Cotchin - Joseph
Morton - Thornton
Riewoldt - Jamo
Cousins and Tambling obviously will need to be watched closely.

Not sure about the Sauce. Other than his fine tap work, i think he is to slow and doesn't have any other tricks up his sleeve.

I just don't think we can carry Krooze, Hammo and Cause in the same team. Imagine a forward line of Fev, Fisher, O'Hailpin, Krooze and Houlihan..... to top heavy and slow

Maybe Hartts can come in for Austin.

Agree with that selection. He would be good insurance for either end of the ground, starting on the bench.

Is a challenge on Austin's ban is unsucsessful that bringing in hartlet would be a good decision but I wouldnt mind seeing Joey getting a run if match ups are good.

Hartlett for Austin (is suspension stands)
Anderson for Bentley (just isn't AFL standard and we need to give Ando a go this year)
Ellard for Houla if he is eligible.

No hard tags in this one Ratts...just take the game on..no need for chip chip either and we should cruise....
