If we are going for a mature-bodied type to help out Judd, surely Hadley would be better suited to this role?

Hmmmm apart from that awful kick into the man and not breaking the odd tackle I didnt think he was horrible. All the same when other players are available why would you play him? Perhaps he's related to Percy Bentley?

..put his body on the line, did some in and under work that was 'ok'.. ..but he's not better than Hadley, or Browne in my opinion, and i'd rather either of those playing the in and under, bullocking role.. .... ..he just seems to take forever on the wind up when kicking long, he telegraphs his intentions too much and is too easily smothered..

Well done kneejerkers.

Off the bench today, Bentley was effective and did his job with the limited time he had. Well done Ratts for keeping him on after the Judd mishap- however- JUDD CALLED FOR IT.

Where the Russell thread Richmondites?

probably gone missing......just like your credibility after calling Grigg a @#$% champion in the Pros and Cons thread. You're obviously very easily impressed.

My credibility? You flatter me, especially considering the general standard of critical epilepsy on the main forum recently.

BTW- you don't think Grigg did his job yesterday and efficiently at that? What a strange point to react to.

At least you can put a 44 gallon drum into the boot of a Leyland P76 and close the lid.

if the judd block was such an inexcusable crime, then why is no-one mentioning marc murphy's match against Essendon*? didnt chase, didnt shepherd, didnt tackle. . and he had plenty of mates, the difference is that stevens was the one doing it when the spotlight was on and he took the fall for a dismal team performance. . . I think bentley had an ok match, i was also impressed with jordy russell (im a big critic usually) and chris johnson isnt getting enough credit for his game on this board either yet. Bentley did enough to warrant another game agaisnt the tigers IMO. . Only one kick to fev went awry, otherwise his disposal, eapecially as a link player was adequate, and he put his head over the ball, which after the Essendon* match was all i was asking of the boys.

Never going to be a superstar. But he's contributed okay the last 2 weeks. You'd expect further improvement, if he can keep his spot in the side.

Can see why the MC think he's worth a punt. Big body. Runs hard. Thumping kick. If he can play inside, and hurt some bodies, and extract some ball, and run and link up, and occasionally get on the scoreboard, then he's a chance. Probably competing with Hadley and Bannister at the moment. None of them are 'complete' players unfortunately. But they all have a bit going for them, and we're a better side if one of them can nail down a position and perform the role required for the team.
