LIke your thinking Synbad. Identify a young one, develop him and give an opportunity.

I'm eager to fast track Lachie Hill. Think he has the potential to make it.

Actually O'Keeffe as the bullocking J Lewis type mid could be nice :smoking:

Hill is my favourite - I've seen little of him, but loved what he offers from the get-go, and RR is also a fan, which reinforces my excitement.

A taller, superfast, stronger version of Clinton Young

OK maybe overstating it a bit but who knows, Young was a rookie too, and was BOG for half a GF

If Lachie isn't promoted I will be crestfallen

One of them will probably have to go . Bentick's contract is up this year . Hadley has another year to go .
That may well decide the issue .

I was pretty pumped about getting Hadley after his first few games, but he's done bugger all since. AB is a type of footballer that is rare but still needed. His work is done in close, and it's hard.

Not many blokes on our list go in head first to lock up a contest like AB, and we can't afford CJ to be doing it.

I'd hope that when he's match fit, he's got a job to do.

Actually he goes in to win the ball and either has no effect, has a detrimental effect, or locks the ball up.

Then we celebrate the rare moment he gets the ball out.

Just think that the game (too quick) has gone past Hadley unfortuantely since his 2 knee reco's. Cant' question his comittment though.

Bentick - can't see him being on the list past this year, has had his chances.

Still no one has mentioned who will be able to do this task in 2010. A few names have been mentioned but their bodies won't be developed for this task in 2010.

If your options are Hadley Bentick and Bentley, on the form we've seen, none of the above. If you're slow you need class. I thought Hadley could do it but so far, no good.

2009 we haven't had that bullocking defensive mid and while we need one to take the heat off Judd and Murph, you don't take a good player out of the square and replace him with a sluggish and clumsy player.

I don't see any reason why Grigg, Joseph, Browne or Robinson couldn't develop into hard nosed midfielders - in fact I think they all will. And I think next year their bodies will be right to go. I think you will be surprised.
