Excellent :smoking:

Warnock nearing Blue debut

Unleash the 3 tall combo!
Although moving from 96kg to 104kg mighn't be the best thing for foot stress fractures!

Can't wait to see what he can bring to the team.

Yeah Fev put on extra kilos which made his foot drop off.
14 goals in two games and you can hardly notice.

He's doing alright without it.

Very important moving into the 2nd half of the season we are able to get one of if not both Warnock and Jacobs up and going. It's no coincedence that our form slump has occured since Jacobs injury.

Unfortunately as much as I like Kruezer his ruckwork is not there yet. We do so much better when Hammer is rucking. Nothing against Krooze he will be and is an exceptional talent.

104 kilos on that frame isn't bulky, but it's not skinny either.

Where's cj69 now? :smoking:

You could see he had packed on the kilos in the last set of training shots, but this is good news if he can run around with it. Will definitely be returning via the VFL though.

I expect Kreuzer to peak around 2012. That's when I expect him to show Cox like talent in the ruck.

However, I'm with you in that he hasn't set the world on fire with his tap work (because he's young), but moreso his follow up work roving his tap outs and his general work around the field.

Jacobs on the otherhand did really well in the tap outs, and whilst he showed some footy smarts with the ball in his hand, I thought he didn't really make enough of an impact around the ground.

Agree though that if we can have Jacobs and Hammer doing the ruck duites (till Warnock gets up and running) and have Kreuzer in a forward role and rucking in the forwardline that it would be an ideal set up for us....for the finals....don't mention that F word.

Can't wait for my dream recruit (206) to enter the arena. He is mobile with good footy skills, and I think he'll push out Jacobs.

I think it's important that Jacobs remains on our list. We've seen what happens to clubs when they have injury/ suspension to 2 or more of their ruckmen...usually (and from our experience) not a pretty place to be in.

Good to see he's on the way back.

Warnock has a fast metabolism and drops weight easy so I can see him dropping below 100kg by seasons end.
He needs to be up around the 110-115kg mark ideally IMHO.

Look forward to watching the dynamics of the team change with him in!

I would think he is a long way off a debut for the Blues.

1 - He has been injured nearly all this year, so his fitness will be way below AFL standard

2 - He has no form. Let see how he goes in the VFL before praising him as our savior!

3 - He was playing WAFL 2nds for most of last year..... on Fremantle's list!!!!!!!!!!

4 - Can his body hold up? He has been injured a LOT during his short AFL career.

We have invested a lot in him, I hope for his sake he can prove that he was worth chasing so hard, for the draft pick we traded for him and also the contract we gave him. (he is 1/6 of the way through it.....) If he doesn't fire will he become the new TC whipping boy?

I wouldn't debut him this season. Leave him in the gym till he hits 110kg. He's making good time it seems.

I don't think we can exect him to do too much this year but I also think if he is fit we need to give him go so we can work out what to do with our ruck stocks.
Kreuzer likes the ruck but should be the tall forwrd we will need when Fev goes, al la Nick Reiwoldt or Buddy Franklin. He can hold a mark and is great off the ground so should be a natrual forward. Let two of Warnock, Jacobs and Hamson ruck.

Someone would have to be held accountable in those situations even if we realise it shouldn't be the player himself. We need things to go right and there are times when merely saying "thems the breaks" in all situations is more a pain than any sort of 'negative' reaction.

Best of luck Warnock, I hope Shaun Mckernan is a dud!

That's only one way to look at it.

I look at 206 as a raw talent who hasn't been refined due to a series of injuries.

It's unfair to judge him on form when he's been in such an underdeveloped state so far in his career.
