IMO with Collingwood being so undermanned there's a good chance that they'll go to the stop/start, boring basketball kind of play that i (and surely most other supporters) absolutely hate to watch. So IMO Robbo would be perfect for that kind of game.

He's been brilliant in the VFL, picking up plenty of possessions and playing like a seasoned veteran in only his first season, so i'd be very disappointed if he wasn't included in the side.

IMO Yarran will be safe, in his first game he didn't do too badly (showed some good signs in the first quarter) but it'll be very interesting to see how he handles playing against Collingwood. Cloke would surely have to be gone, he needs a week or two in the Bullants to get him into some form, if he survives this week i'd be surprised.

Great to see Browne in the mix also, a great player we've got there, both him and Armfield are very similar players, so hopefully having them both in the team means that we can really shut down some of their smaller forwards who TBH are proving to be more effective that their KPF's recently.

Go Blues!

The "ins" all being on the extended bench is like getting it on with a hot chick who has a "suprise"...

You can bring in any player, even one not named as an emergency, to replace any other player, whether in the 18 or not. You just have to pay a fine for doing so.

You can replace one of the 18 if you want, and you probably don't have to pay a fine if you do so out of the extended bench. But it's not the done thing as the 18 are supposed to be safe.

Once again the MC are all talk and all Bullsh1t.

Surely Cloke and Fisher to miss?

If Browne doesn't play he will not play for three weeks as the Bullants have the bye.

Yarran in for one game and out again? Surely not?

Fisher cannot play. Surely Hammer will play?

How does Wiggins, Thornton, Stevens, Russell, Simpson still get guaranteed a game.

How do the kids who deserve a go push for a spot now that the Bullants have the bye?

We will win as C'wood are crap so there will be no changes next week and these guys will dish up the same crap for weeks to come.

IMO Ratts and the MC have missed the chance to make a statement. WEAK!!!

agree with those that think the final changes will be

in: robbo
out: cloke

good to see clokey finally get the chop. I think a lot of his goals this year (over the top pass while alone in the goal square for the easy goal) has flattered his contributions to our forward line.

also happy to see houla get at least another week in the ants

some of the guys have been lucky to survive... you'd think they'd be on they're last chance if they dont perform this week

Those outs for the Magpies have all being playing like rubbish this year. THey will be better with them out. Dont be fooled.

Collingwood fans should be rapt with them outs.

..i like the idea of Joseph in the FP.. ..he will provide tremendous defensive pressure and grunt, and he's got excellant acceleration.. ..in my mock up team i had army in the possie for that role, i reckon it'll be hell for the pies backman with Jospeh running them down..

..edit.. ..also, looking at that half forward line.. ..it looks like they'll be lead up targets, which would open the 50 for Fev to play in, with Betts and Joseph crumbing..

I'm with you.

I would have preferred Fraser, Cloke and Rocca playing.

..aside from Anthony, their forward ins would surely be underdone.. ..and as much as we think Fraser is b-grade, he's still their best ruck, with the most experience with their mids.. ..if we dont romp it in the ruck, and if our midfield doesn't dominate.. ..we'll need a royal commission..

..as for Rocca, yeah.. ..will he be back even??.. ....Cloke's been down on form, but it helps us that he's out.. ..Didak out cramps their style definately.. ..on paper, we'll have the much stronger team, but as said the pies could come out fightin' tooth and nail.... ..or, we could blow them away like we did the tiges in round 1.. ..personally i think our team feels more humiliated by the way they played last weekend (or should!!),, and they should be doubly fired up as the pies will be..

Yeah, given our habit so far of playing guys into form, he would seem the obvious candidate this week.

Its not like thomas has been setting the world on fire either. I reckon Malthouse is giving him a "rest". Didnt see any ice on the knee the other night.

Would have prefered them all playing.

With the Filth not having any ruckmen of note, I wonder if Cloke, and Hammer are competing for the backup ruck spot.

I'd hate to see Austin get dropped after only one game, especially as I think he went alright; but due to the Filth's lack of KP forwards, he might be unlucky.

We've picked lots of guys who can hold down a KP forward role. Cover in case Fev isn't right? Anyone know how he's been training?

Showers forecast for Melbourne on Sunday. This will surely have an impact on selection in regards as to whether we go tall, or small.

Agree with most here:

In - Robbo
Out - Cloke

I reckon the 'lucky" ones, such as Wiggo & Hadley, stay in because of the lack of any really "form" replacements from the Ants. Simple as that. If it meant Carlos v Aussie, glad Aussie got the nod as well worth persisting with.

Just hope we've well and truly moved on from the Fisher days.

Powewrful KP and goal kicking machine at CHF will get us over the line.

The MC have made some really tough decisions. Great to see them uphold the mantra: "players will only be selected on form".

Autumn leaf, otherwise known as Fisher is a step backwards.

Really, just because the opposition is at its weakest doesn't mean we can take them lightly.

MC = :banghead:
