I only got a chance to see the recording I had of the Essendon* game a couple of days ago.

The very last play of the day struck me straight away. It encapsulates in a short time what is good and bad in the team at the moment.

This is my poor effort at video editing to just highlight a few of the things that happened. This is not saying this play cost us the game (general poor play throughout the game did that). It is just provided to highlight a few little incidents both good and bad (and maybe generate some discussion  ).

Murphs handball to Gibbs - made him have to change stride - if it had gone in front of him instead of behind he would have had a clear run to goal

Also Stevens not blocking for Judd didn't effect the play as he unloaded the handball before he got there - still should have done it

Cloke is the biggest culprit for not blocking Fletchers run - if he had Judd would have had a clear shot on goal instead he have to break stride to step around Fletcher .

good shit have got any more

I think Judd's peripheral vision would have picked up the defender, Stevens had to do the bodyguard thing and it cost the team the chance for a memorable victory. Instead, we're here still sulking about it when we could have been saying, "what a great selfless thing to do...".

Remember that the offender is immune from criticism because he is a class player and our VC.

Sometimes the most talented of players should be saying WWWD (What Would WIGGINS Do).
