shocking Football, not worthy of a Final Spot at all.....

Major Cons :

1- Shocking Disposal and turnovers , main offenders : Waite and Thornton... how many goals did they give? unreal.... just shocking....

2- NO Fitness to run out the game : For the second week in a Row, we ran out of Legs... Some players could barely walk in the last Q... i was shocked to see it... Hadley was walking whilst the ball was rolling in front of him... Same with holihan and the entire team.....

3- Terrible Coaching : Ratts seems clueless and can't plan basic things. Playing Gibbs in Defense is plain Stupid... He had to be in the middle where the action is, but he was left to play on Goodes deep in Defense.. very stupid move....

Leaving Scotland out is also a poor decision.. A half fit Scotland is far better than the Rubbish we saw today......

Finally, it appears that our Young players have flown the White flag.. they have had enough.... they can't cope anymore... Robinson, Joseph, Jacobs, Johnson and Russell all need to go for a Holiday... they are Spent.....

Beat him to what? is this what playing footy is about? beat your opponent on the day and who cares how the team is performing?

he doesn't get enough of the footy to have any sort of influence ( 10-15 per game).. that's Rubbish... he needs to Step up.... he is one player who should be by now a prime midfielder with 25 plus touches a game...hasn't delivered. Some say he is a Slow Developer but for how long can we be patient with him?

Describes our team perfectly. This is exactly where we are at at the moment and it will not (and should not) get us into the 8 this year.

I'll start to be convinced that we are making real progress when we start winning games consistantly like 3, 4, 5 games in a row. Till then we are making up the numbers.

You obviously weren't watching the same match I was at.

JR had a great (well, very good at least) match. He was one of the few who did his job all day.

CON:
People watching matches just to see if JR stuffs up.

O'Keiffe had a better SuperCoach score than Russell - if you would like to use some sort of measurement. O'Keiffe was hardly beaten by Russell. This game was very difficult for forwards with the flood that was going on.

Really, some people on this site a great story tellers

CON - This game was horrible to watch after last weeks great spectacle.

Pros:

* Defensive unit were good today: well done Bower, Waite, Thornton, Russell and Army

* Apart from goal kicking our problems are mainly above the shoulders. It's not lack of skill, it's lack of discipline, application and belief.

Cons:

* Forwards and midfield applying zero pressure, not tackling (42 tackles), not chasing, not protecting the ball carrier, and forgetting the 1%s (37 of which Bower had 10! )

* Centre corridor: scum and swans consistently used it and benefited from it, we left it wide open and never defend it!!!!! :donk: When we have the ball, we're playing like the centre corridor is a minefield to be avoided at all costs.

* Ball movement: besides not being direct, the players have lost all confidence to take the game on and move the ball quickly. They chip sideways and short, allowing the opposition to get behind the ball and then what happens? they have noone to kick to!! What has happened to change our game style from Rnd 1?

* There's a feeling of not playing as a team when you watch us play at the moment. Few are sacrificing (besides Judd) themselves for the team, inspiring their brothers and that has a snow ball affect on morale.

You're seriously telling me that because ROK had a better F&*%ing Supercoach score than JR, then JR had a crap match?

If I expressed what I'm actually feeling right now, I'd be banned.

Like I said earlier, JR had the best match I've ever seen him play. He was composed and used the ball well. Never looked panicked, and backed up. The same couldn't be said of a lot of the 22 yesterday.

You get angry easily, don't kill anyone today.

And I didn't say JR had a crap match you did. I said he didn't beat O'Kieffe. Make out of that what you will.

The match that I was at, JR had a better match than Ryan O'Keefe. I don't know, or care, how Supercoach numbers are tallied, but there's no way in the world that it honestly reflected the match that JR had.

To use Supercoach numbers to somehow justify calling for JR to be dropped is so delusional that it beggars belief.

I'm not saying JR had a 3 Brownlow vote match, but he did his job, and he did OK. As such, there would be at least 6 players on the chopping block well before him.

Cons
Already mentioned

This was the worst footy match I have been to for a while
We are way off being a top 4 side and will struggle to make the 8 unless there are changes and a change of attitude. Some of those players are only worried about their pay packets and should be dropped. It wont happen because the MC are as weak as piss. We will end up like Richmond have been the last 29 yeats unless something happens.

Its crunchtime

One pro Despite watching the worst game I have seen as a Blues supporter there are always funny moments. One frustrated Carlton fan held out WHERES SCOTLAND to which another fan replyed

YOU NEED ALL OF ENGLAND AS WELL

Had everyone in stiches around us for about 20 seconds.

I knew Supercoach scores were going to make the clueless think they knew something about the game.

Who said we are a top 4 side?
It's only supporters getting ahead of themselves who think that. I'd suspect most of us think we are a 6-8 team.

Since when were Richmond a young developing team with a bright future? :?

You may not have, and I apologise if I inferred that you did, but some will use it as "evidence" that he should be dropped.

Some of the high profile posters on this site are always using stats to back up their arguements (which I agree with you shows they are clueless about the game too).

Tread carefully with such generalistic comments like this one.

PRO:

A very healthy slice of the 30 000 crowd were Carlton supporters. Including a very large section of the SCG Members.

A good argument for MORE MATCHES UP HERE.

Another Pro:

Wiggo's hit on LRT in the 2nd quarter. Textbook hit. On top of that it kept the ball in the F50, for one of the few times we applied defensive pressure in the forward line.

Also, it really pissed off an old Swans supporter who was standing in front of us, yelling about "F%^&*ing this" and "F%^ing dog act" (admittedly in response to me yelling loudly that Roberts-Thompson is soft). MrsKK soundly told him off for swearing in front of the young girls sitting beside us (about 8-10 years old, sitting with their Dad), and told him to "just go away". Which he did.
