Dammit, why couldn't they have done this last week while I was staying down there?

I'd already signed up so it would have been useless for me, but still...

Yep. Was a pain in the arse trying to avoid the traffic when I wanted to sleep but... :donk:

Seriously it was the PP Motor Inn on the corner of Park Road.

"Essendon* - My Club"

Hey Melvs, graph in the Hun today states we are 3,500 memberships up on the same time last year. I'd say the membership drive is doing very well.

No doubt you'll find a negative connotation in their somewhere.

Other teams have higher rises. You're making it too easy for the man.

(and also serves as a reminder of the bandwagon nature of Hawthorn supporters)

Sydney Road, hey. I wonder if they'll continue up the road. There is a lot of untapped potential in the Sydney market.

Maybe we should lobby the AFL to play more games and establish a presence up there.

I'm not sure what our membership slogan has to do with anyone outside of our club. If it is being talked up outside of Carlton circles, then great... no such thing as bad publicity. To borrow a quote from someone far more intelligent than I, the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

As for our membership slogan, it might be more applicable to my upstair's neighbours than CFC, but I like it a lot.

I think everybody like to know we're coming.

And back on topic. I think that it is fantastic for our players getting out in the local community. That is where we started and I think that is a base that we have lost contact with over the years. It would be awesome to tap into the potential of a local area, especially one as affluent as Carlton.
