Very true, but I think the problem is that he committed to do it, then didn't show...

That's poor form.

Would imagine though there is a good reason...

Yep

Easy to get over if you weren't waiting for him. HArd tog et over if you were.

He shouldn't be booked to be making appearances this time of year either way.

Maybe his Management accepted this promotion before consulting with Bryce and if that is this case, then it would have been up to his management to cancel his appearance.

putting family first regardless of what is going on in his family is far more important then making a shopping centre appearance

It is fair to say his management should have contacted the shopping centre as other have said...

I wonder how some of you would be thinking if It was a death in his family and he decided to appear at the shopping centre rather then attend to his family commitments

some of you people have to think more about what commitments are more important then what isnt

shore it is dissapointing waiting there and the star of the show is not in attendance

what is more important to you

your family (regardless of the problem)

or work and social lives

my bet is 100% of you would say family

it is no different for Bryce Gibbs or any other star of this world and we the public shouldnt condem them for attending there own families first before shopping centre appearances...

yeah it must be hard on people have stood in line or stood in the crowd for periods of time to catch a glimpse of their star and for them not to appear

family reasons is more then excuse not to show up if you think it isnt a good excuse i think you need to rethink your values in life and think whats more important to you

family always comes first you only get 1 family but you can get many friends and work and other social activities in life to attend and be friends with

Get over it?

Try telling that to a devestated 6 year old Carlton supporter - it could have at least been handled better from what I hear...

Thing is, although not dimissing it - I wouldn't take his management saying 'family matters' as gospel... it's a common line people in this line of business like to trundle out as a 'catch all' excuse...

Absolutely, nothing comes before my family but it is only common decency to inform people that you won't be turning up to such and such...

Prolly a management issue and not the end of the world but it is still crap...

It is the opposite if you ask me.

Expecting notification when someones plans change is not 'too' sensitive anyway, it should be expected. It's just plain rude...I reckon....

If,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and i do say,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if, a family member has passed away, you would have to think his management group would have to be one of the first that would be notified about it.

Wouldnt take much for one of them to go down and put in an apology on behalf of Bryce.
