The 3AW stats man has just said the frees to forwards for holding have dropped off a lot in the past 4 weeks. maybe they just concentrate on different things every week..

I wouldn't normally do this and I hope you take this in the spirit is is intended but you do call yourself 'verbs'.
The correct verb there is 'were' not 'was'.
Present subjunctive.

I'm sure he is a nice bloke but Jason Saddington = Dud. Ratts and Co are culpable for this shit, that nice bloke set the tone in the 1st half with his embarrassing performance.
